I got a Peerless Ethereal one, but I'm afraid of not getting the element I want the day I decide to IW it. That's why I still consider the elemental ones.

You can upgrade it to the highest you want, then go up to IW9. Then you can use infusions for best element depending on day and purpose.

i would have accepted dark or holy on mine, so that's "only" three times as many shards as accepting any strike on average. i got dark strike the first time i got a good IW9 and it took me 36 shards. considering it's the ultimate weapon, i think it's worth the effort
