Magnificent Shortsword of the Battlecaster
Not looking to sell it, obviously, but it's my first magnificent weapon and I'm really excited because it seems to fit my playstyle well! One handed with a lot of buffing, against high difficulty.

But I don't know if the stats are actually any good... I don't have any scripts yet. I'm sure it's actually shit (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

Definitely.
Battlecaster is a suffix suited for maging, and requires a prefix, and this sword is prefixless.
Prefixless is bad also damage wise, 1 less strike = less damage
Suffix is also bad because melee want slaughter suffixed mainhand, not battlecaster.
Plus, for 1h you should use a rapier for high difficulties.
No wonder if you have to buff a lot like this (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Well if you are lacking anything better, then you use that all right, till you can get your hands on a decent/good rapier. Unfortunately even an exquisite rapier is better than a legendary shortsword, but... that's just how things are.
A battlecaster sufix 1h weapon is usually used as the prime weapon of choice for 1h mage, but it requires an elemental prefix. By missing that... this is just high grade metal or bazaar gear, depends on what costs more.

Rapiers are a lot better than the alternative. For instance, if I had to choose between a random prefixed Exquisite rapier with useful suffix, and a Peerless shortsword, I'd pick the rapier.

PA can result in 2x or more damage against monsters, and the only 1h weapon that inflicts PA is a rapier. Bleeding Wound just doesn't compare. So even if you lose some parry by using a lesser quality rapier, the greatly increased clear speed will make it worth it.

Having PA is especially important for low level players. High level players can more often justify using high damage weapons without PA, such as axes, because high level players with forged gears can often kill monsters in only 3 or so hits anyway (so there isn't enough time for PA to stack up and be effective) - but lower level players take longer to kill monsters, and are probably always better off with rapiers.

It really depends on who sees it, who has deep-ish pockets and doesn't have a good prof piece yet. It's level 375 and 98% prof is amazing - now you just need to get lucky enough for a few interested people to fight over it... in auction, I could see it going for 600k-1.7m or so, maybe.

Block 77%, along with best suffix. That's near the best any lowish level player could hope for - but higher level players past 360 or so (who have the funds to buy expensive gears) probably wouldn't be incredibly interested, given the oversupply of good gears at high levels. So it probably wouldn't go for quite as much as you might hope. I'd use it if I were you.

Prof 22%. Frugal's better than elemental prefixes, but not by much. So probably not, at 411.

It's low level (too low?) and stats are below 50%: at least 1m, but probably more. If 2 people fight over it at auction, much more.

I believe it should costs ~1mil. Stats are nice, but not very high. Will be interesting for some "medium-class" users, since level is low.
Will it get more than 1mil? Maybe, hard to theorizing here.

If you don't have anything better, use it until you find a decent one.
Don't forge it, don't soulfuse it...just use it until you get something that has at least 35-36 base block (and not 27 (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) )
