Probably not.

Best I can tell, the reason [One09] is being bid on so hard is because it is a Wakizashi. Wakizashi is the ideal one-hander for 1h+cloth style. It is electric, which is apparently the best element for 1h+cloth.

It's sort of like people saying that a force shield with 98% block is awful because it is SDA, but kite shields and force shields with poor block will provoke bid wars if they are SDE. That tiny bit of being ideal matters by a huge price margin.

May also be that good wakizashis like that almost never shows up at auction, so you have some of the richest mages trying to get this thing since it probably won't be seen for sale again any time soon. Again, not just battlecaster, and not just wakizashi, and not just electric. All three in one sword. Like the difference between a perfectly matched staff.

Only Waki of Battlecaster is worth using i think. Since waki have the highest parry chance among 1H weapon. Along with minor elemental damage difference at maximum (11.35 for waki, 11.34 for other 1H).

Waki of nimble too. Apart for helping your survivability a bit more, it will also raise your counters a bit

Certainly! Okay, EDB sucks, but it is a very very good item at very very low level. This will sell. Hard to estimate the price though. If there is a rich low level player, it could go high. otherwise, 100k -500k or so?
