No matter self-use or reselling, trying to buy a piece that someone got it from freeshop is messing up the system.
If everyone doing that, what not just the donator sell it by itself or put to auction?
I would say the seller would have the responsibility , but if your offer motivated someone doing that,
you shared a sort of it.

Yes, you would be directly at fault. Don't encourage people to sell stuff from Freeshop. It is for their use. If you wanted it, should have requested it before they did, or wait until another free helmet of use to you is available.

Above is just an example. I'm not saying the current owner of the helmet is the type of person who is lured by credits or am I saying that I will actually buy the helmet from him. I don't even have enough credits to buy it but was just curious how much that kind of helmet will be if I decide to buy it.

FS has just re-opened and the operators are still trying to catch a hold of it. more likely they'll adapt the rules to their needs or to the situations whenever they will face them. nothing wrong with this, especially since they wanted to re-open FS as soon as possible.

in such a climate i would refrain to "lure" (don't read it as an ill intention, i just woke up and didn't fiind a better word) users to sell the goodies just earned from FS, since it's still not clear how many items of the same kind they may ask, for example.
on the other hand, you're perfectly entitled to open a WTB, and check the offers of whoever comes to propose you an item.

please mind the difference. in case of the WTB, the user clearly prioritized credits above the item. his call, with all the consequences involved. on the other hand, if i was to discover that the item was sold because there was, saying, an exchange of PMs, i may opt, saying, to have a word with both of the users involved. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

on a general base, i invite users not to cause too much of a surplus work to the operators. it's a new situation for them, i was in their shoes and i can tell you it's not so easy and sure as sure they don't need this kind of an extra load.

Instead of starting to rant about what is and isn't in the FreeSHop, couldn't you guys just be happy that there are such things that have been donated? I thought everyone would be happy when I displayed them. If you fear that some people would abuse this to do reselling (which is explicitely written as strictly forbidden in the FS rules), you are encouraged to report it to the FS team (any of the operators and managers) and we'll do the necessary to get the abusers punished.

We might aswell do as you suggested and auction them to raise funds for more giveaways or to restock scrolls, host special events or God knows what else. I'd just like to kindly remind some people around here that racing to get this or that equipment won't contribute to make a good image of yourself, especially when there are other players who certainly need them more than you.

So please, enjoy while you still can, because it might not last forever. And don't be too greedy.

And frankly, for once you have a reason to talk about things for poor players, you could have used the poor players (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) club.

If I'm not mistaken, the bit about not reselling items from FreeShop was actually removed from the rules upon its reopening. I noticed this because it's related to the reason users aren't allowed to edit their requests (this rule is still in place) and the reason users are supposed to post working links to the equipment they request (this rule was removed).
