If you are going to use it for a while, which I think you should, then IW to 10 is very usefull. You should really do that. Because monsters have no mitigation against void damage, so you will hit them harder. It's not about the money, it's about clear time and playing on higher difficulty for you.

Second tip: if you have any infusions in your inventory, use 1 of them before each hour of battle. That gives you another strike on your rapier.

This way, you could even consider soulfusing this item, because I think it will be a lot of levels before you can find / afford a better rapier.

looks like you're right, my next upgrade is at 286, and i didn't realize how harsh the xp curve got. also didn't consider the extra damage from void hitting for pure, so iw10 really would be a good time investment

I'm guessing the prefix doesn't make up for the abysimal ADB (E range) and the mag. quality? (and also the fact it's fleet and not shadowdancer)

actually Savage and Shadowdancer have roughly the same effect on the weighted average damage. therefore, i don't see that much of a difference between them - if not for the fact that boosting crit damage means to rely a bit more on luck, but when hits land they are stronger. something like this.

Legendary is required.
2h weapons must be Slaughter, and they must be either under level 400, or Ethereal, or Katana.
Melee weapons with useless suffixes (Vampire, Illithid, Banshee) are unauctionable.

You should send your katana to an auction. Worst case scenario, you get it back.
