The rate 10B does overcomes fees and fluctuations in buying bitcoin.
If you get a star seller that uses an exchange, you end up with 3 or 4 dollars more than a seller that uses a bitcoin ATM.

The trade off is you wait an additional 7 days for the bitcoin to clear on his side, and risk the volatility in 7 days may kill his hundred dollars, and the trade will need to be extended for the next round.
Most sensible bitcoin buyers only leave 8 or 9 dollars in their accounts due to its a "non-backed" currency.

The plus for sellers using a bitcoin ATM is it's immediate minus an hour or so to confirm.
The minus is the automatic fee of an ATM which makes it very close to what 10B inflates the amount by.

What concerns me with tenboro's situation is whether he "leaves" it as bitcoin.

my wild guess is that he's not *so* much on the plus side. or that as soon as he is a bit more on plus than the usual, a sudden expense happens. or he catches the chance to buy a new server.

Yes, at level 221, it is worth something. I think you can sell this for 50k-100k I think. Even without prefix.

also a question about use - would you suggest using the rapier over this wakizashi? (assuming i'm a cheapskate and don't use infusions)
i don't really know the relationship between strikes and base attack, but the extra aspd and line of damage seems to be comparable to the extra adb+def down, and added heal doesn't hurt either

I don't see any reason to use that waki instead of the rapier. Use the rapier.
Also, I think that the rapier you have it's good, very good for selfuse, you can keep it even until lv 350, but will sell very hardly.
Not because it's not worth 50-100k, but because a lv 100-150 probably doesn't have that much money on the fly.

based on what i've seen from combat log, it's another 50% line, but can't crit and doesn't get applied to counters, so with a (hypothetical) average of 1 counter per round, and 20% crit for 1.5x, a critless 50% on (at most) half my autos is a best-case 20% damage boost(?)

If you are going to use it for a while, which I think you should, then IW to 10 is very usefull. You should really do that. Because monsters have no mitigation against void damage, so you will hit them harder. It's not about the money, it's about clear time and playing on higher difficulty for you.

Second tip: if you have any infusions in your inventory, use 1 of them before each hour of battle. That gives you another strike on your rapier.

This way, you could even consider soulfusing this item, because I think it will be a lot of levels before you can find / afford a better rapier.
