Because only skillchip has the power to do that.

I'm POSTing every single equipment I come across to the equipment ranges server, but he only updates every few months.

The only thing to do is to POST the equipment link to the server, but for that you need the equipment link in the first place.

I think most of the Lmax stats are correct though - it's only the Lmins whose records get broken now.
