Price check on these and also a question - when people suggest scrapping things for cores, are they suggesting that it's a good idea to sell the cores, or hold on to them? Since they have no purpose at the moment, I can only assume the only reason anyone would be buying them is because they anticipate them being more valuable in the future. Is this pure speculation, or are there any clues to suggest this will indeed be the case?

Unfortunately it is salvage. Protection is worthless for mages even thou it has a nice suffix.

yes. protection(27.5%), warding(27.5%), curse-weaver(9%), earth-walker(9%) automatically salvage, even peerless (unless peerless charged curse-weaver, I know a guy who's looking for it for whatever the reason).

that short sword is very good. If you sell it I would estimate it to be ~200k.

all your legendary clothes are beyond lv400, they are all plain prefix thus value all below 50k. You may put the holy one at 50k in your WTS since it has a 90% EDB.

rest your cloth, salvage magnificent and sell the rest to bazzar.

I can't give you a precise price reference for the mystic heimdall, but I want to point out the heavent-sent's holy prof roll is very low(11%) so you'd probably not expect it to go beyond one or two million.
