This is literally only the second piece of legendary equipment I've ever gotten, and the first that isn't usable in my build (I'm still determined to play the incredibly unpopular 2HLight build. This is supposed to be role-playing, not everybody-play-the-same, right? LOL). So what should I do with it?

Perfect shield for the level. If you don't use it yourself, sell it. But 2h is just sooooo bad in the current version of HV, I'd still recommend you use it - even if it means everyone plays the same....

Seems like a failing of the game (and a rather strange RPG world) if every successful and powerful character is a mage walking around solo. But regardless, it's my fault for not specifically asking before, but sell it how? As I said, this is the first piece of Legendary equipment I've ever gotten that I wasn't going to keep, so I've got no experience pricing such things (I assume it's better to sell it in the forums than in the equipment shop?)

I added the SmartSearch script but don't see anyone buying Legendary shields. There are some in the WTS forum, but none nearly as low-level, so I'm not really sure what I should be asking for it.

You don't find any for sale, because this is very rare. Prices are so hard to estimate, though.... Will this sell for 1m in a shop? No clue. Should be more than 50k, though

You can sell by creating a WTS thread in the WTS forum. Or, you can MoogleMail this equip to Superlatanium, with title 'for auction'. Then he'll put it in his next auction. You need to be lucky that there is a low level buyer just at that moment.

how low can the price be to prevent people from grubbing it just for salvaging or selling it to system shop without meaning to use it? I suppose 8k should be enough?
