I would keep hold of any and all legendary items if I were you. There will be an update where they can be salvaged for legendary cores which will be used to strengthen equipment. It's impossible to say how much this will make legendaries worth in the future but I bet it will be an improvement.

No, setting a starting price is perfectly fine. It will only be detrimental if it is near/above the actual value of an item, however, your Charged Cotton Shoes are worth quite a bit more, so you'll be fine.
