I just found an interesting user script that improves the gallery view by kind of simulating the photo viewer of windows and thought about sharing it here.

Unfortunately, it's not Firefox compatible (edit: now it is), but the guy might do it in a future release even though you know how it works, that never happens until someone asks or the stuff get supported enough to justify an update. I was thinking about asking him to not hide the pagination but I am not sure the "issues" tab is the place to do it.

That thing wouldn't cause a heavy load, it only makes a fuckload of CSS. I'm just wondering why it uses the Y, U and I keys? I could understand A,S,W,D (CS habit) or H,J,K,L (vi habit)but why Y,U,I?

Mutation observer is supported by mozilla, the incompatibility is only in the assigning of CSS i believe.

What are you talking about? It's just CSS cosmetic and in no way it mess up with how the site works. It's not using the API if that's what you meant.

Tsuzuriko is right, CSS is purely cosmetic and won't give extra server load. Excessive manual refreshes are PEBKAC related.
The only direct danger I see here is the @include. Might want to change it to a simple @match regular expression, this will increase the scope as a bonus.

Excellent script. MPV probably still better for manga reading but for selective gallery downloads like I usually do this means I can re-enable source nexus, which saves me from having to deal with download original links.

One small improvement I'd recommend is adding the file size/name somewhere. I put it on the image title with this in resizer()

But I wouldn't mind some config to put it on the bottom of the screen or something like that (I'm not fluent enough in jquery to figure that one out).
