It really depends - half of my friends didn't even take their diploma certificate out of uni, no one ever asked them and it was pretty much wasted time, so unless we're taking about something specific or regulated it may not be the best choice.
Yeah.... It really does make a difference on the major and the type of position applying for.
I guess a little moderation is in order.
It had to be a degree program that made the person literally cry, do over nighters, still fail... then stand up and repeat until completion.
An art degree won't pull that off.

Nooo... ?
Got two pieces of paper, and I feel like they're useless.
They all want years of experience that no one has.
Depends on what you're applying for.
If it's an actual "work" position, then yeah... No one wants to train.
I can only speak for my industry. Which... chuckle... is industry.
But I recall you being one of the engineering majors, I don't remember which.
If that's the case...
Try applying for staff/lower mgmt positions.
Those are also group interviews with 4 or 5 interviewers which make for a smoother interview.
(And always remember... they "want" to hire and get back to what they're really doing)
Read a few books on Lean Management and Project management to learn terminology.
Watch Discovery/Learning channels on "how it works", "impossible engineering", Engineering Disasters", etc.
Watch Youtube videos in the same area, and also videos on Corporate History for your country.
Use this knowledge to be able to converse with these guys during the interview.(The worse interviews is when I'm interviewing someone who is "yes/no", I work 12/14 hour days... no time for yes/no - Interview over, gotta go.)
If you accidentally start talking about Ford, Edison, and Firestone being buddies, and did someone actually murder Tesla... well...
You may be pleasantly surprised!
Edit: Because now they like you, and they are conversing with you.
You can teach anyone anything in Mgmt or anything for that matter... with enough time.
You can't teach attitude, motivation, or natural speaking skills in a conference room.

RoadShoe's beastie (and no doubt beastly), Phat Ho, did it for me.
Pretty hot and tempting Ho! My favorite type! (IMG:[
