It's hard to explain why Meiling is so popular among Touhou fans. I'm exclusing all the self-proclaimed fans who are just weaboos who barely know 20-30 characters at most and have absolutely no deep knowledge in any.
Let's keep it at what I said in auction #20: "she's the heroine Gensokyo needs, but not the heroine Gensokyo deserves." Basically, she has all qualities to be appreciated, on top of being pretty and busty, but no one respects her. Call it "poor thing" if you prefer.

I've been seeing that Touhou Project stuff since I came to this site thousands of years ago. The Touhou nerds are in a class all by themselves, they go absolutely nuts for those chicks. They're like Mensa, they only understand it between each other and no one else does so don't even try to figure it out.
