Maybe he assumes everyone uses thumbs? I don't, I use the list and search by text and image going down the line.

Holy shit tenb, this is a wonderful update. Someone has certainly been busy. Good on you, good on you.
These are some pretty serious quality-of-life improvements right here, and apparently there are more in the works!

Just a quick question, why the option for automatically load thumbnail gone? It was perfect for listing view, now no more.

Interesting update 10B for a second there I thought my browser color was broken because I saw one rating that had a strange color (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
That said thanks it helps to organize galleries I have skimmed or looked at (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Is there a lag in the favorites counter when i add new ones? I added 2 and they showed in the list immediately, but the favorite numbers went up by 2 after 5-10 minutes.

Yup, new favs display immediately but the total counter takes a little bit of time to refresh; about 15 minutes after some testing. Might be intended.

Can't reproduce, does it happen with a specific color or all of them?

If this mean the section loaded through "Torrents" between "Front Page" and "Favorites" at the top of the screen, then here too, I see 50 results when I think I should have 25.

Indeed, torrents and favs go 50-50-100-200 respectively (search results still give 25-50-100-200 as intended though). Guess that's a feature if you don't have any perk in that line yet. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

To add to the (minor) list:
- Color combinations don't seem to show properly in thumbnail mode for favs, if that's intended to show in there as well. (Ignores actual user rating+RGB combo and gives average with yellow stars.)

Tenb i think you introduced a bug with the new rating system: The rating is not per gallery chain anymore.

e.g. i've rated the parent gallery but the new updated gallery does not display my rating. It displays the average, as if i had never rated the gallery before.

EDIT: i can see the right rating (my rating) in the list view.

Can't reproduce. What steps are you taking to get this, exactly?

- Some of the (unprocessed?) galleries get fav'd with an Unix timestamp of 0 (1970-01-01) instead of the published date

The publish date isn't taken into account on new favs, so that would have been a quirk of the conversion process only.

- Attempting to use unbreakable, non-single UTF-8 bytes in excess of 200 breaks the entire note instead of getting truncated (creates a blank note that still counts towards the limit; can be removed by clicking Apply Changes again)

Should properly drop the note now if the encoding is corrupted.

That's a bit dirty but you can solve this potential issue by making Apply Changes process the field content twice to sanitize it.

Revamped core favorite functionality

While ratings were always common to a gallery chain, favorites were associated with single galleries, meaning that they could point to an older version of a gallery. Favorites are now set for a gallery chain, and will always point to the newest version of the gallery.

Notably, this means that when a previously favorited gallery is updated, it will show up as such on the front/search page, which means that you should be able to keep track of updates much more easily than before.

Wow, that's really great. It sucked having to manually update ongoings that I was following. That's going to be a really handy feature. Awesome work.

No more favorite limits

The limit for how many favorites you can store was removed. There is still a limit for how many notes you can store, and the readout on the screen where you add/modify favorites will now show that instead.

The old hath perks for increased favorite limits will now increase the number of notes allowed instead, and were renamed accordingly.

More Favorites I and II were also combined. Note that because of caching, the readout could still be showing the old limit for a day or so if you only had the first one.

Sorry, it was my browser cache that was screwed somehow. Wiped it, logged in again, and does not happen anymore.

Second that. I used it for listing view too. Cause sometime it took 1-2 sec to load 1 pic for my isp, it's better to load it before hand than to move the mouse over and wait 1-2 sec every line. (especially when you have to browse through a lot of them.)

So is it gone for good? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) or you just accidentally removed it?
