While downloading this Gallery, I'm getting this message: CODE IP quota exhausted. Never saw it before. Other Galleries are working just fine. What's the reason? What triggers this message?

I think it means that the generated archive link has been accessed using too many IP addresses. ie, it protects against the archive link being generated once and spread around for free downloads

QUOTE(mozilla browser @ Mar 15 2016, 17:51) I think it means that the generated archive link has been accessed using too many IP addresses. ie, it protects against the archive link being generated once and spread around for free downloads I see. How much is the estimated time of the 'cooldown' of the restriction once it triggers?

Never. That is, it's permanent for that download link.

The "problem" is that the archivers operate independently and are read-only as far as the rest of the site goes, so they don't currently have a way to tell the rest of the system that a download session has been exhausted. I am planning on addressing that so people don't have to wait for a week, but as it's not that common of a problem, it's not the highest priority.

Can you implement a "Re-generate Archive Link" option then? This post has been edited by tetron: Mar 15 2016, 19:25

Uh. That'd be more work than just fixing it.

Just curious, what is the IP limit? Not that I'm considering sharing the link with others, but I sometime download the archive both on my pc and on my server, and I would like to know if I should take care in not reaching the limit myself.

Two different /24 IP ranges. Any access from a third range would be blocked.

in short, anyone with dynamic ip just cannot pause / stop their internet before completing the archive download, or the archive became auto-expire ? temp solution : get static proxy/vpn/ssh tunnel.

The vast majority of people have IP addresses that stick around for more than 7 days, or draw from the same /24 pool. But yeah, if your IP is very fleeting, you should probably not stop and start it too much.
