Weaken is like the best ability available, it makes them take more damage and half their damage output. I cant understand how you arent using it.

Its possible he didnt lie because when you lvl up your equipments dont lvl up with you, so if you cant find equipments that are better then your current ones it will be hard on you the further away from the lvl of your equipment you get. Which is happening a bit for me now my equipments are around 80-90 and im 110 and i can feel its getting harder by every lvl.

I used to use weaken but it's silly to sink 5 ability points in it when it takes focus + 4 casts to get it to stick.

I can kill all mimi-bosses in that many hits.

I'm only going to see anything above in the bloody arena of.


Now that I remember I did swap some plate for cloth and light (hands and helment).

How could it make such a difference though. It was only a couple of points in physical absorbtion (from 19 to 17).

Took my interference from 80 to fifty something though

its the mitigation on slashing piercing and crushing that really matters when you switch. Physical absorption is worthless when mobs do 100+ damage each.

Also, from the looks of it, mitigation is indeed applied before absorbtion. I can say this with a fair amount of confidence cause I take more damage in my cloth robes than my chainmail chestpiece. You might think that's natural, but the absorbtion on my cloth robe is about 1 point higher than that on my chestpiece cause of levels, but the difference in damage taken is about 5-6 points.

No I didn't. I don't have weaken, and I didn't need it the two other times.

Mithra is an advanced version of Manthra, from the 2 times I've faced him. High physic attack, low physic spell, and a ton of hp/defense. Guessing you have to switch something here or there.

It could be the level difference Mithra was the same level as you, so you could have gotten lucky with lower level bosses before.

Anything below godly is scrap for the +80 lvl guys. And Bob what you got is around what you get for 57 rounds it can vary a bit depending on luck but sometimes even when i get to 100 i also only get 1 mana elixir. The credit gain is around x6 compared to cake so i think its worth it, btw you tried full plate yet on normal?

I tried full plate before got me about the same results, only I have to cast absorb a lot more, and hope for good mana returns on it.

Pretty much. And I'm honestly not sure I have a full plate set. And if I used it, my burden and interference would probably be over 100. Not sure how that's gonna work, especially since I can currently attack twice in a row sometimes.

just tried normalfest full plate high parry dualwield ended up going 94 rounds, although I was getting pretty lucky with second winds had like 25 mana second winds. Ended up with 4 mana elixirs, and 5 Health Elixirs.

hmm, i only got bout 34 rounds in to normal grind using 7 godly mana draughts, although i did get held up a bit by manbearpig in the 20s, blew through some pots i probably could have used elsewhere.

just 1 spirit elixir though gained though.

I'm gonna hurt you. First off, I don't even have a full plate set. I've got some chainmail that could be used in place of it, but it's not plate. Second, I'm trying almost full heavy cakefest and I don't think I'm going to get that far. The damage done is so inconsistent, and I keep getting fucking critted over and over. Unless I use shield I'm still going to take between 30-60 damage from some mobs just from their regular attacks. WTF.

I reached a new personal best in Cake Plate Grindfest: Round 42. Damn, was that ever fucking boring. I only made it that far because of a Level-Up carrot dangling in front of me. Once I did level-up, I fled from the boredom in the next round. HTH do you guys do 350+ Rounds of this? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Worst of all, my best two drops from it was [Infusion of 200 Credits] and [Godly Spirit Potion]. At least the Infusion paid for the Healer. I did only need 1 Avg Mana Draught. Still, 3 hours of my life gone. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

Hell I'd take some average kevlar as long as its near my level or higher...

Well its not all plate I have 2 pieces of mail but they have plate-like stats still so its probably actually better. Both over 7 absorption and 4% mitigation on each. For the most part though my heavy armor gear is all stuff the higher level people sold. I think the only thing I got as a drop was my gloves. I think I was taking between 0-60 dmg with shield up, my slashing mitigation is 40 while my crushing/piercing are around 20 so there's still a pretty big variance.
