Pretty much killed him with bleed my hits were hitting him for 30. Used 8 godly mana draughts, and a last elixir, hope these guys are easier by the time I get them in arenas.

You and Gillian have unbelievable luck with equipment drops. I guess I'll attempt dreamfall later today. Mana elixirs, I hate to use so many of you, but I have no choice.

What exactly did you bring to the party uth? Just elixirs and draughts or did you have any scrolls etc?

Just do grindfest on normal, mana elixirs drop frequently over there. If you can reach round 50 you can get around 1-3 mana elixirs, i can get to around 90-105 rounds with 12 godly mana and i can make a surplus of godlys + around 2-7 mana elixirs, and tons of godly/elixirs health.

208 cakefest. Stopped cause I only wanted to get half my level in that one...and the drops were fairly poor (2 equips, both nothing I wanted) and I got bored.

wow ethereal wep + a good armor pen wep made that alot easier.

How the hell do you guys get so far in cakefest. Do you use a lot of items or what. I usually only get to about round15 with the use of shitty items like crude health draughts.

Just do grindfest on normal, mana elixirs drop frequently over there. If you can reach round 50 you can get around 1-3 mana elixirs, i can get to around 90-105 rounds with 12 godly mana and i can make a surplus of godlys + around 2-7 mana elixirs, and tons of godly/elixirs health.

@Awing: High curative + Regen mean only occasional heals needed (and a better heal/mp rate then cure). Not to mention they have kickass kevlar and dragonhide armor that has amazing defense and pathetic burden/interference.

We'll test this theory. Currently at round 16 on normal. Not a single drop yet ;_;

On the other hand, I'm barely not going to get to round 50. Starting round 20, I need to use regen essentially once per round, that's a lot of MP. Since I'm only using cure and regen and don't have to proc any deprecating, I might try again with another piece of heavy or light armor on... Let's see how far I get.

Another edit: Normal Grindfest is making absorb and I very close friends. -16 <-> +3 MP for saving myself an average 3-5hundred HP. The -16 hurts a lot though I guess... Maybe I should use barrier instead... save myself 50HP on every spell...

Notable finds: Round 17: [Superior Mithril-adorned Leather Boots of Protection] (sell for 920C since everything besides absorption sucks), Round 47: [Mana Elixir], Round 54: [Infusion of Gaia], Round 57: [Health Elixir] (almost didn't get this since I barely reached round 58)

OK, so the finds were at least worth the cost of the grind, but it still took forever and I only found 1 Mana Elixir >_>

I'll probably try again soon... time to play arena 1 to restore my health/mp.

Well on cakefest I just wear all my heavy plate armor so I basically take no damage meaning I don't need to heal more then like every 5 rounds, after I have 9 monsters. So basically its all based on gear.

For normalgrind I've been running 3 plate 2 fleet cloth, all I cast is shield and absorb whenever needed, for me absorb usually returns 30-39 mana making it pretty efficient since it costs 37 to cast, I still get the occasional 20something return but overall it works well. I still only have 9 item slots, tried it earlier and got to round 70 mostly got godly health items, a few godly manas, 2 health elixirs, 1 spirit elixir, and 2 mana elixirs, overall I'd say unless you can get over 100 its probably not worth it to grind on normal for items cakefest is just so much easier.

2 Fleet Cloth... God. Where do you get these equipment!?

I got to round 58. That was with 2 plate and 3 cloth. I'm about to try 2 plate, 1 light, and 2 cloth, and a switch in weapons. The point of it for me is to get mana elixirs, I don't care so much about lesser items or anything short of godly. I assume you also cast regen on normal even though you said just shield and absorb.

Anything below godly is scrap for the +80 lvl guys. And Bob what you got is around what you get for 57 rounds it can vary a bit depending on luck but sometimes even when i get to 100 i also only get 1 mana elixir. The credit gain is around x6 compared to cake so i think its worth it, btw you tried full plate yet on normal?

No. I'll give it a shot. I FEEL slow with just 3 plate though, and that's saying something. You're not supposed to even feel your speed in a game like this, not really. I think my previous attempt at normal grind must've been a fluke, because I'm trying again with 2 heavy, 1 light, 2 cloth and a better main hand, and I'm needing a godly mana draught every 2-3 rounds, and I'm only at round 28. And I only have 8 or so draughts left.

The other bosses hit me for about 120 and a crit for about 240. This mithra is hitting me for over 450! My HP is only 1600 Killed me off pretty quickly.
