950 turns, and spirit only did 100k damage, which doesn't cut it when it's got 931,210 HP. The good news is I know how to beat it now. The bad news is it requires being a mage and having massive Forbidden proficiency. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Oh, they are beatable. I intentionally designed them with a fatal weakness. You just need to figure out what that is. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

But I did say I figured out how to beat it... I'm just not equipped to do it. And IIRC, the Unicorn dealt Soul damage the first time I fought it, which was within a day or two of the creation of the Ring of Blood.

Is all of its damage holy cause if it is you could put together a thrice blessed armor set together and basically take no damage

The problem wasn't really the damage received. The problem was how little damage I could do to it.

The point was that's better than doing 1dmg per turn lol. How much damage do your normal attacks do? And yeah, forbidden prof is .05 xD

I guess that could mean that they're weak against some specific type of physical attack (crushing/slashing/piercing) and hito just didn't use it yet.

Since we've talked about it here... has anyone tried the first couple arenas of ring of blood (the 1 token ones) on hard+ difficulty? Is it noticeably harder, does it requite a different approach? I know it means their HP will be higher, but is drastically higher? Will a couple of godly mana draughts and maybe an sp draught be enough, or will I need elixirs too. Let's actually consider this for Heroic and above.

edit: nvmd. Done on Heroic. Totally disappointing battle AND loot. Items used: 1 godly mana draught, 1 scroll of shielding (Only necessary b/c I didn't feel like using another mana item. If i'd had a crude/average mana item I'd have used that instead).

Accuracy: 167/174 (96%), Crits: 14/167 (8%), Offhand: 46/167 (28%), Spell Crits: 0/236 (0%), Spell Interference: 3/70 (4%), Avg dmg: 591.6Hits taken: 178/261 (68%), Dodged: 27/261 (10%), Evaded: 26/261 (10%), Blocked: 0/261 (0%), Parried: 30/261 (11%), Avg taken: 138.21. The total number of spells cast in those stats does not include resisted spells, so it's not accurate. Also, avg dmg includes damage done by poison, which I used consistantly after procing penetrated armor (brought the damage done by poison from 32 to 160 per turn).
edit: there is also something obviously wrong with my battle buddy script concerning spell crits.. I'll go look into that >_>

Come onnnnnnnnnn!!! That was on Hell!! Gimme SOMETHING worthwhile!!!!!!!

Also, Hell is apparently my limit when only using draughts. I actually had to use 1 mana elixir out of the two I brought (and I used spirit attack once for like 6,000 damage), but I probably could've done it without the elixir If I had 1. used the spirit draughts I brought and actually used spirit more than once (the one time I used it was a fricken accident because I clicked on spirit draught by accident *sigh*) and 2. replaced the elixirs with draughts. Probably the hardest part of this battle was paying attention to my HP. 300 Turns is a lot, and gets old quick. I had to cast cure quite a few times because I simply wasn't paying attention to my HP bar. Oh, the amount of resistance was a bitch too, but surprisingly only 3 interferences (out of very very many casts...).

On my first try, I went into the final round with almost full HP and MP, and 7 godly mana items. Instead of fighting the monsters, I ended up fleeing on my first move (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) . On my second try, I was so pi$$ off, I forgot to silence a Mind Raper, and ended up getting raped (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) .

You and Gillian have unbelievable luck with equipment drops. I guess I'll attempt dreamfall later today. Mana elixirs, I hate to use so many of you, but I have no choice.
