yeah i'm planning on seeing how easy or maybe even normal treat me in a bit when i get regen. cake so far is for c farming to buy items that don't suck. cause i certainly can't find em. i think i'm only using 1 item that i found myself.

probably still hand me my ass, but my cure prof is pretty good, about at my level.

i certainly don't have a mage type build. i have strong support and curative proficiencies, but 100% of my damage comes from melee. stickadin.

if you're not using curative spells yer not going to get anywhere though, regardless of what else you're doing.

What equipment are you using then? I'm using Heavy Armor with One-handed/Shield.

mixed armor (2 heavy, 2 cloth, 1 light), 1h + shield or staff (battlestick) for long grinds. 2h longsword for quickly clearing the first 7 er so arenas.

the staff is used more as a polearm with mp leach. i have +10 acc from auras and +10 acc from armor, so i get a reasonable +25-30% acc even using a staff. +12% damage from the staff isn't exactly horrible, although i do miss bleed and PA i get using my other weapons. but for cake, a solid ether theft staff gives me infinite mana, basically, a permanent shield (mine absorbs 22-23 damage and lasts 25 turns) and cure whenever i want it.

battlestic cakegrindan is slow going, but the upside is it costs 0 items and you can go as long as you want after you get a decent supportive rating. so its pure profit, no items used and no healing after.

23 absorb is probably better than most full heavy armor users get anywhere near my level, and i have an additional 15 from my armor. i also shopped for items with % mitigation in mind, so i have 10+% straight physical mit, and about an aditional 10-15% in pierce/slash/crush. also 15% evade.

This is the best I can manage. It's hard to see, but it's health is down a little past half.

950 turns, and spirit only did 100k damage, which doesn't cut it when it's got 931,210 HP. The good news is I know how to beat it now. The bad news is it requires being a mage and having massive Forbidden proficiency. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Is all of its damage holy cause if it is you could put together a thrice blessed armor set together and basically take no damage

I thought you said weren't going to make elemental based physical attacks (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

5 pieces of heavy armor and 50 minutes later...round 120 cakefest, and dear god that was boring. Only got a shield out of it...well, that and some DW and heavy armor prof.

Edit: Also..only 3 infusions....that said the proficiency reduced my normal set's interference from ~25.3 to 24.9 :X

And just got to 153 using my 2hander in the same time it took for my DW to get to 120, with a lot more to show for it too. Oh, and I'm only using 6 crude mana draughts for these...
