I don't know if it's possible to have a physical immune legendary like Ryouko Asakura or Yuki Nagato. If it's the case, yes, it would have been another story.

It's the first time since, well I don't known the date exactly, but it was in the time when I could clear all the arenas with full crude/fair plate (a long time ago indeed)

A image like that to me was really a challenge, but the funny thing is, this time cleared the arena in DW,
and proved to better than my 1hs but I remained my usual set of armour (low evade, high burden/interference, and high physical/magical defence), I didn't expect that, but yeah the more the better (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

PS:I even only need 4 great mana draughts out of 8, so maybe I'm already ready for the next 2 (when I hit l90 of course)

I forgot to set Haste on autocast, so I'm REALLY glad I brought along 6 Superior and 3 Godly Mana Draughts, and 2 Godly Health Draughts. That was LONG, with many, many minibosses. And the last round was nasty; those Godly Health Draughts really came in handy, as did 25% holy rating and Banish spam.

And to top it off, I got almost a quarter of my level's EXP from just this one arena! Not bad for 25 minutes of work. I can't imagine how long it takes for folks to clear stuff like Sealed Power and up.

PS:I even only need 4 great mana draughts out of 8, so maybe I'm already ready for the next 2 (when I hit l90 of course)

I, too, found that once I reached level 70, the new arena challenges started to be much more clearable than the previous ones. I think this is mostly due to Regen being a significantly better healing spell than Cure.

Not bad for 25 minutes of work. I can't imagine how long it takes for folks to clear stuff like Sealed Power and up.

To be honest, clearing :
- Endgame to Longest Journey on Nightmare
- Dreamfall on Heroic
- Exile to Crusade on Hard
- To Kill a God on Normal
.. takes me a little more than 50mn :x
And this is because i'm not doing them in normal (to make a lot more xp), or it would take ~30mn.
So no, the higher arenas are not longer at all, it all depend on your easiness to kill the semi bosses.
On normal, i can clear a 9 monsters with 5 semi-boss round with only haste and regen up, i can simply spam attack without worrying for my hp (if i take out this nasty Mind Raper before everything else of course).

Also, i got Ryouko Asakura again T_T. One infusion of gaia = 40% hp, so i'll bring 2 next time, or i will buy some more pack rats (currently 2/5).

Crusade on normal takes me about 12 minutes IIRC. Anyway:


The Twilight Cleared


The hardest part about this challenge was playing it longer than 5 minutes without quitting from boredom. That being said, this took me around two weeks to finish I think. C77 attributed to that quite a bit though.

Exactly the same as EoD, only stretched from 150 rounds to 200 rounds. Bor. ing.

Instead of making these arenas longer to the point of I'd-rather-gouge-my-eyes-out long, maybe Tenboro should throw in some twists or change mob contents or something else to increase the difficulty. I am not looking forward to those hundred-round long arenas.

Well, that's also partly because your ping to the server is significantly lower than mine. Even holding down a number key, I only get 2-3 turns per second, at low server load times.

However, I'm curious. What gear are you using? Being able to just spam attack on 5-mini rounds with only regen and haste going is pretty awesome.

Grats Hito! Sucks that it's so boring. I wouldn't be surprised if those arenas are filled with "placeholder" rounds, though, since no one but you and Tens are really even close to being to attempt them. I bet Tenboro will make these "legendariy spam" arenas more interesting in a future update.

Out of curiosity, how long does it take you to kill one of the legendaries with the style you used for Twilight and EoD?

That... seems mind numbingly boring. Congratulations though.

Tenb should cap the number of round for arenas and make them harder in different ways than shear tests of willpower to continue living through what must have been tens if not hundreds of thousands of mouse clicks. :/

So I realize that this thread hasn't really been used much for Grindfest achievements recently, but i wanted to up my post count. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

With my new Lightning Mage build, I got to round 80 of NormalFest without any items. Considering that I could barely crack round 25 with 1H+S, I'm really liking being a mage. I also got to round 135 of a Superior item world on Normal. Crazy fast EXP gain in there. I'd switch to Mage for everything, except that killing bosses without PA sucks balls. It's really too bad, because every single round up until the last one is a total breeze as a mage.

It sucks that Grindfest is limited to 3000 credits per day. Getting 20 creds per round adds up to 3000 pretty quick. I started getting only 15-16 per round (even with the full 9 monsters) after round 60 or so.

It looks like by the time you got to that round (which is really impressive on Normal!), that you were getting pretty badly pwned by the 3000 credits/day maximum that Tenboro applied to Grindfests. Those rounds would probably have been giving you over 30 creds each, if not for that limit.

That was a long freaking arena. I had to use 6 Greater and 4 Superior mana draughts to clear it, though I probably could have saved 1 or 2 if I'd remember to take Shield off of auto-cast. I usually only use Haste in arena.

The rounds with all 5 mini-bosses are nasty. I'd weaken the Blue Hedgehog and Manthra (they're the only ones with physical skills), and then kill the Mind Raper followed by the cow and canuck, then the normal monsters, and finally finish off the weakened minis. Thankfully, I've been working on raising my curative prof, so my Regen was ticking for 109 over 22 turns. That helped a lot.

I got almost 1/5 of my level just from clearing this arena, though. So I guess it's worth the item cost.

About grindfest, i don't even do them anymore. Spending 30-45mn per day to do 2-3 normal grindfests for nearly no xp and only 3k credits isn't worth it at all.

Edit: Just did one on normal thought, juste to see. Got to round 156 without potions (but got very lucky with mystic/mana gems), then to 248 with the same set of potions i usually use to do IW's and a normal luck on gems drop. It took 25mn for 2k5 credits + ~3k from items drop but did only 1/3 of the xp i get from 15mn of a 135 rounds exquisite IW on heroic.

I'm wondering what style you use for Grindfest and Heroic/Exquisite IW. I can easily do 150+ rounds of Normal/Exquisist with few items, but that's mostly because the monsters die so fast to my spells that they get almost no attacks in against me. Doing it on Heroic would give them far too much HP for me to take them down quickly enough, so I'm very curious about how you do it. It's obviously working out extremely well for you.
