For this time's "Christmas edition" I had a first try at completely defining the layout of the house (even though it's not of use to anyone).
It's really difficult to do... You have to worry about the opening direction of each door. Especially their relation to the windows was hard to grasp with a multitude of little mistakes as a result. You shouldn't do things you aren't used to... (--;

The house's concept is "a blend of Japanese and Western architecture that doesn't need air conditioning". It doesn't go as far as including traditional Japanese elements, but I intended for the wind to reach all corners if you open the doors and windows. Also it can be made "barrier free" in the future <whatever that means>. In short, a cozy house with a feeling of openness.

家周りは...
The house is small compared to the surrounding area, so the garden can be large.

それを利用して...
This is used for keeping a distance from the neighbouring houses and thereby maintaining privacy.

暑さ対策...
To protect against the heat as well as for privacy, small trees of 3~4 meters are placed where necessary. Concrete walls would be too overwhelming so hedges are used instead.
Since the house is surrounded with a lawn and trees, the air is cooled and people can't look straight into it. That way, nobody will notice if you're having sex - probably.

I kept the house small since mother and child have to maintain it. A small love nest... Just kidding ❤
