57/57 and 100% failed to kill a boss, then he resisted weaken, then he Critted me, then I died. That 5th round of Test of Faith can be brutal.

Man that sucks. Well at least I covered my ass semantically by saying "works for me" (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) . I've been fairly lucky against boss monsters. I usually end up getting screwed elsewhere, like a green slime critting me with a wind attack that does 200 damage on normal mode.

Sorry, no one has found a weakness for the Cow other than a full-on Spirit Attack.

I use Ball Lightning on Cows and some of the other monsters and it works pretty well.

Good bet. The Cpt has Smite, which I suspect would be good against the Dark monsters like Manthra and perhaps, to some degree, some of the Lengendaries.

I use Ball Lightning on Cows and some of the other monsters and it works pretty well.

Somehow I get the impression that you just looove throwing your balls at monsters. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

And yeah, them damn Manthras seem to be the biggest pains in our collective ass, aside from the legendaries. I usually tag them with a full Overcharge Spirit Attack, and that doesn't even always work.

Lol, yea. manthras are the biggest pain in the ass. My spirit attack can usually get rid of most of its health, usually if its like 4-5 levels lower than me. But I got attacked by a level 36 manthra once and the thing had over 1100 hp. My spirit attack at best does about 800 damage. I really got screwed by that thing.

This is pretty funny. It was a classic faggy slap fight til the end.

I don't really pay that much attention to my stats, though. With my Primary Attributes, I've increased all of those equally so they're all at the same level.

I seem to rely a lot on magic and then when I weaken a monster enough, I attack it and kill it off. I like using magic more than just straight-up attacking for some reason.

Each time you use a spell, there's a chance that its respective proficiency will also increase. If it does, it'll tell you how much it did inside the battle log.

Ah, OK.

And I had revenge of the Manthras today. That dead one's relatives all came after me after that. In my random battle just now, I had a regular monster, a Manthra and a Zombie Cow. When I saw I was having some trouble midway through it, I readied myself with all the items I had and then after I cast a magic spell, they instantly killed my ass. LOL. What a waste of items.

I've been getting better results on the Peacock with Windblast than Lightning, to be honest. Lightning does seem to be effective on the whale, though.

I now hate Zombie Cows even more. I was just about to finish this post and went to type a Z and instead of pressing Shift-Z, my hand placement was a little off and I typed Ctrl-X (Exit - Close Window) and lost the page and post. :sweat drop:

Taking into account some advice, doing some testing, and recently acquiring Windblast, I have updated with more accurate results...

As for the Wind weak monsters, I have taken into account that many of us do not have Wind (I just recently got it myself) so, the second spell-type is what seemed to work best for me before I got Wind.

I have removed Fire (tent.) as a weakness for the Mind Raper, as I believe my superior Fire Rating was the key factor in Fire having slightly better success against the MR. However, I do suggest using whatever spell-type you have the highest rating in against the Mind Raper (except Electric) and the Zombie Cow (except Wind), although just Attacking with a high OC % is quite effective, too.
