Well, hmm, I've been thinking about all of this for a while today and I don't know what to make of it anymore.

I'm in HentaiVerse now and the karma system's had all the fun taken out of it and I have that power in my sidebar that's only sitting there for show and not much else. Getting and giving karma to people and reaching the Saint levels gave me the only joy I had and it's not really enjoyable anymore. It's like it all came to a grinding halt overnight.

I was going to adopt extra slots to get Soul Barrier because I've always dreamed of being immune to negative karma ever since the karma system first started, and I'm so close to achieving it, but what's the point in any of it now?

Well, despite 3dpoxy's post regarding "bad users should get whats coming to them" i'd like to add that there's always assholes with itchy troll fingers out there so it helps them stfu when you have 100% reflect rate.

Something to consider but entirely optional.
Also it's not like the karma system went completely useless overnight. There's still people doing good things for the site, so you can still do good things.

Just that the karma levels have become more of a status other than an actual usefull trait (besides boosting power in order to help others)

But still, i'm missing the power calculation in battles so much :<

Blagh. Like I've stated repeatedly in a number of threads, your power still affects your legendary aka Spirit Attack, if your power is 2000 that'll add 500 Spirit Points. It's just been decoupled so using one doesn't drain the other.

I understand that. But if you're essentially setting it up so the system can no longer be gamed effectively through various exchanges of karmic hits, then one's karma increases will depend heavily on the random whims of others. You're taking one's karma out of one's own hands. People aren't going to be that interested, I think, in a system they can't control.

So people might still care about their power, but the feature of handing out karma might go disused.

Just to clarify: I mean no criticism. I'm just observing.

Was I somewhat active in the activity being eliminated? Yeah. I'm just shrugging that off though. Actually it could be good because that stuff could be a real time sink if I let it. :-)

But that's just it. I might just stop bothering with karma at all. I certainly don't see myself bothering to increase the amplifier any further, or buy any karma-related hath perks, when 1) they're going to boost NK as well as PK and 2) the PK gravy train was just cut off.

Maybe I'm alone though.
