Not sure if I'll ever have one, strangely enough the concept of waifu didn't resonate strongly with me.

This, but if I were to say a personality archetype that I would like, either someone caring like Tifa (FF7) or a tomboy (too many to list).

At the end of the day they're all just drawings though. I do get attached to some of them - but it's just investment in the story rather than an obsession with the particular character.

I really like Nei from Phantasy Star II (profile pic) but I don't consider her or any other fictional character a "waifu." Just a great design and a good tragic character.

For a long time, I was all about Kurisu Makise and Elsa Scarlet. I mean, you can't go better than that. Or can you? Kurisu's aesthetic is bae. Those early 2000s low cut jeans, a shirt with a tie (hngggh), and dark, cherry red hair? Sign me up! Yet as time went by, my tastes kinda changed.

Now I'm more of a Sacha Blouse type. That trad aesthetic is really doing it for me. I've been digging through ancient Japan history, and all I can think of is a Blouse kinda gal in a traditional Japanese outfit, but one that's practical. I'm not talking Geisha style. Alternatively, I'm imagining her type in a traditional ancient Chinese wear — something made of fine red silk. That's my waifu aesthetic these days.

My waifu is Asuka Soryou Langley but I also prefer Kokoro or Ichigo from DarliFra. If Zero Two knows this she will kill Ichigo, but Ichigo for me is only a onee-chan.
