I thought its more .. random.. like drawning them 1 by 1, it somehow doesnt seem random at all with a line of numbers xD even the guy with 13 numbers was left out ;D

every person earned a certain amount of tickets according to submission rules, and every ticket had a progressive number, assigned by chronological date of submission. then i went on [ www.random.org] Random.org and generated a random sequence which would have simulated the process of extracting a series of tickets from a pot. the number of the ticket, the name of the winner. in case a person won two prizes (like MarsRuby) only the highest was kept, and the subsequent one was removed from the pot. the pdf shows you the very screencap of the extraction page, formatted in 8 rows just to keep it compact. as the site itself said, numbers are processed from left to right, then on the following row till the end, as the little arrows on the right (made by me with word, btw (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ) |

Well, actually that chain of numbers has been generated randomly shuffling an array of numbers from 1 to 229, so theoretically picking the first n numbers is as random as generating 1 by 1 the numbers and removing duplicates, don't you think? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) |

lol. sorry for everyone who was left behind, but as Tenboro said to one hath baron who bought ~50% tickets of the lottery, it still means 50% chance of not winning anything. so are lotteries in case of CronoBoA, 13 tickets out of 229 means 5.68% chance to win -> 94.32% chance of not to win. it seems cruel, but i can assure you it's still waaaaay fairer than that credit sink: if you note, the minimum amount of tickets awarded was 3, and the maximum 13. it's like everyone had 1~4 tickets each. in all the times i bought tickets for HV lotteries, i don't think i had (even once!) the a same chance rate to win if compared with the likes of G or W. and yes, i already thought about it when i chose how many tickets to assign, if that's your next doubt. other than wanting to see some boobs (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) |
