QUOTE(ChanForu @ Aug 15 2015, 12:18) Is there a trick to mana retention? I'm often hitting a point (and I'm on innate arcana 2) where I end up with extremely low mana even though I'm spamming potions and draughts unless there's a riddlemaster or mana gem.
Mana elixir/additional hath perks/economizer not feasible. Frugality are not dropping for me and I can't find gear better than mine of my level without soulfusing. Mage is extremely difficult and probably not worth it if you're still at the level where you still have to chug potions/elixers, and can't even IW for Economizer. You do have the option of paying someone for IW service to get Economizer level 3+. Spamming draughts is normal for all styles. At a higher level, you'll not only have increased mana efficiency due to the above, but also due to higher damage (more frequent mana gems), more proficiency, and Wis forging. I don't think mage is a good idea before level 300 or so. And, 310 is when you get 0-cooldown 3-target Imperil.

Recently Mobs seems to be hitting much harder and are more tanky than usual.
The thing is I've been pretty much playing before and throughout the new patch and only really noticed this change really in the last few days.
I'm probably imagining things again.
Has anyone else notice this or is this just me?
EDIT:
I guess it must be just me then.

Some would say misery and or self inflicted torture, but I like to be a little more positive and say the game is a nice way to spend your free time.

QUOTE(Boogiee @ Aug 15 2015, 22:20) Well I made post yesterday and today (more than an hour has passed) and still I'm not receiving full bonus points (I checked a few minutes ago in Random Encounter).
Does making posts count on all the forum or in specific threads?
-------------- It seems to be working now. It looks like it had to take more than hour to register making posts.
There are some subforums where posts are not counted, eg. the test forum. See http://ehwiki.org/wiki/forum for more. But this topic and the general chat subforum are kosher, so you just need to wait a bit longer since it doesn't update immediately for processing efficiency reasons.

@Superlatanium I've only about 52 more levels to go though ;_; I'm glad to hear that Imperil is getting more targets soon haha.

I never quite figured out what the spreadsheets were for.

QUOTE(Crush85 @ Aug 16 2015, 03:43) I never quite figured out what the spreadsheets were for. Eg, simulations such as damage / average turns in a round, comparing the effect of different equipment pieces on clearing speed ("How much worse is Balance compared to Slaughter"), probability for amnesia shard usage for some given potency, forge level upgrades or for figuring out the base value, scaling equipment to different levels, general record-keeping, etc. Once you start to use them you'll see potential uses everywhere.

Spreadsheets? Really? I have enough of those at work. No spreadsheets allowed in the house! (unless I need to work from home...)
Btw, I don't how things are in the upper levels with health draughts, but for me they seem kind of useless since the latest patch. Monsters rarely hit me, but when they do its hurts alot (dualwielding maxed out rapier and shortsword with shadowdancer leathers). Regeneration/ cure with some manacontrol has alot more effect.

I see, I may make one for equipment stats mostly for forging and level scaling.

I have not gotten any double gifts since this patch. I have 7 monsters only 2 which are valid.
QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Aug 13 2015, 18:26) Sounds well within the margin of error, given such a tiny sample size.
QUOTE(EsotericSatire @ Aug 13 2015, 18:28) Lower level monsters may see less action due to the change in ranges for monsters appearing for players.
Got a two double gifts today, so it was bad rolls as expected. Edit: spelling This post has been edited by its-just-me: Aug 16 2015, 09:29

HV = Spreadsheet Spreadsheet = Work HV = Work (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) Jokes aside, about my previous post on mobs being unusually stronger, it seems to be only a random occurrence because its back to normal for me now. But I think I might start manually documenting different mobs in said spreadsheets to help me recognize(more like remember) mob names and adjust my attacking order if required.

No, not just you. After a short post-patch adjustment, I started to get used to the 'feel' of it again, but lately (past couple days), I'm getting slammed harder earlier. Dunno wassup. This post has been edited by sk8ball: Aug 16 2015, 11:11

Thanks sk8ball for replying. Its good to know I'm not alone in noticing this. I was just wondering if it was the min powerlevel changes stated in the patch but I didn't think so because I recognize quite a few of the mobs I normally face but its like they hit harder and seems to take longer to kill (can't say for sure from memory hence now I will start documenting again). But one time on a really bad RE run none of my silence/sleep/weaken was working on the mobs (after multiple cast) and I had to rely solely on my counter stuns to just barely survive. But as I said in my newer post, my mobs seems to be back to normal again. It was just really strange to me because yeah I only noticed this was happening in the past couple of day. Hopefully your mobs or mob mix gets back to normal. Maybe we are just unlucky with our mob "rolls" (should I call it that?). Hard to say whats it going on (if anything at all), it could be simply the case that the mob trainers suddenly buffed their mobs (does it work like that?).
