Monster lab is only really an end-game investment, or for the automatic gifts from PL 25 monsters when you have enough chaos tokens to unlock another slot. It's much much better to spend on better gear than on better monsters, probably for anyone below level 400.

Text was added but I don't think it's been programmed in yet, I'm pretty sure some of my PL 25 - 100 monsters have gotten a few gifts in the past few days.

- Magnificent
- Regular Catalyst, 4x Mid-Grade and 2x Low-Grade

* PXP 314~335
- Exquisite
- Diluted Catalyst, 2x Mid-Grade and 4x Low-Grade

* PXP below 314
- Superior, Average, ...
- Wispy Catalyst, 6x Low-Grade



But, after 0.82, it is just a sum of equip's stats values and irrelevant to Quality.

* "Legendary Shade of the Arcanist" have much more PXP than others.
(It contains 16 upgradable stats.)

Legendary Amber Shade Gauntlets of the Arcanist @ pxp 400


Because of this,
most 4pab Magnificent Shade's PXP are over 350 and upgrade costs are Robust Catalyst, 6x Mid-Grade
while other Mag equip's pxp are below 335 and require Diluted Catalyst, 2x Mid-Grade and 4x Low-Grade for upgrading.


+ And its total gear potency is too big so a bit hard to complete IW.
