I noticed a while ago that some downloads weren't free but the wiki says archives not downloaded in a month have double the cost, which I presume exempted them from free downloads.

Would it be too abusable if these just cost two free downloads? In that case, what about three free downloads?

2 possibilities :
-after the past behavior was reminded, writing about the new behavior was forgotten.
-the tense is wrong in the sentence, this is actually the new behavior.In this case, besides fixing the tense, reminding the old behavior to see how it changed would be good.

edit: ok mechafujoshi, I admit there may be a third option:
-the subject/information of the sentence is "power was capped to something", so the current log may be enough if the cap was entirely removed.

But I doubt that's correct.

It's proper English to use past tense when writing in a log book.

Being assigned 2-3x 3k ranges still beats a single client by far. As soon as a client hits the 3k ranges limit (400GB cache size, given reasonable bandwidth?), it's still more beneficial to set up a new client instead of providing more backlog.

The rate at which new static ranges are assigned scales as well. And the bandwidth test doesn't detect clients sharing the same bandwidth.

Probably won't change either as long as the network is healthy enough to cover the current active set of images multiple times. In the current state, running multiple clients on the same machine just means stealing hits from other H@H clients.

You should read that as "rewards are no longer logarithmic". If you are hitting the hard limit on ranges, then sure, but there aren't many clients doing that, and it will be increased further assuming that we don't hit severe performance issues.
