Soul Fragment drop rate is 100% if you do a random encounter every 4 hours. So 6 REs a day is enough, if you spread them out.

We really need a way to toggle some perks and training.

Having a higher exp bonus is punishing because equipment become obsolete sooner.
Making donations give a higher exp bonus.
So making donations is punished.

Even capitalism would rebel against that side of things (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Now the change could have always been useful, but now it's just...necessary.

For me, Health restoratives are being adding up. Mana restoratives are at the negative curve (Except the Elixir). Spirit restoratives are mostly neutral, except the Elixirs which are piling up. the the stocking amount is nowhere near the pre-patch restoratives. And I assume that's not gonna change.

Uh, not an important issue, but the rate of HP:MP:SP restoratives seems 3:2:1 now while it was 2:2:1 till yesterday.

Because unlucky roll? A legendary rapier of slaughter can roll ADB between 481 and 554, those are 489 and 485 respectively. It could be as low as 470 before, and no higher than 540.

I think I'm being too salty for the sake of being salty. Sorry. But, think about this:

The purpose of HV is to get people to support E-h via H@H (perks), donations, and galleries. The vast majority of those who contribute significantly in this regard, connected to HV, are those level 300+, often level 350+. For HV to perform as intended, E-h needs to create and foster more such high-level players.

As is, it is going to be quite difficult for someone to get there - the curve between 0 and 300 is now quite high, starting from nothing, given how quickly equipment will degrade to Crude or worse (assuming one finds usable Superior equipment of the right type for all the right slots in the first place). Low level players may be forced to play only on pathetic Hard or Nightmare due to a lack of luck with drops - and there will likely not be enough supply of level 0-300 gear available to be bought.

If the boss wishes to attract more players with the potential to stay with HV long enough to become high-level donors/H@Hers/contributors, perhaps the barriers to high-level should be relaxed - though not so much that any level 150-200 player can get a starting set of 1h/power and progress from BT to PF without trouble, like they did before the patch. (That is one of the big sorts of things the patch was designed to fix after all, right) But now, newer players who are forced to rely almost completely on self-found gear will find playing HV orders of magnitude more painful than before. E-hentai will have fewer willing to endure the difficulty and slow-progression long enough to get to ~300, get a decent set suitable for prolonged use/grinding, and become potential contributors to the site as a result of HV.

It would be good for the site to come up with a solution. Since level-binding seems here to stay, maybe we might think of something else to make the initial leveling up slightly less excruciatingly painful. Maybe double or triple equipment drop rate at level 1, scaling down to normal at level 250 or 300? Maybe add a significant quality bonus scaling in the same way so that finding a full set of halfway OK Superiors+ for a style you'd like to try isn't too unlikely? Something like that, specifics aren't important. Since mostly self-found play at most levels seems to be the intent of this patch, I think finding a usable set or two every 40 (low) levels or so shouldn't be unrealistic (but for that to happen for lower level players, they need better loot quality or quantity than they do now).

Maybe this is premature. Perhaps wait until a month or two after the patch and see if those just starting HV without anything are finding it way too painful.

This isn't for me. Higher level players like me already have nice sets and level up slowly enough that we can endure the equipment rust until/if we soulbind (and don't find anything better on our own). But the lower level players, which HV needs to attract to eventually get more high-level E-h contributors, are currently in very deep trouble.

Can we have draughts with much longer duration?
It is rather bothering to use one draught every 50 turns and one potion every 20 turns. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)
Since all the buffs have 200-400 turns, this is equivalent to keeping 21 more buffs than usual where is only 2-4.
Maybe we can have draughts with 200 turns duration, 4 times the price, and 25% drop rate.
