QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Jul 21 2015, 15:22) I don't want to risk spending a lot only for my element to turn out worse than Fire is currently
That's easy - choose Fire! It can't turn out worse than it already is. Lest you think I'm kidding, that's why I went from Dark to choosing Fire as my backup set (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) QUOTE(tetron @ Jul 21 2015, 17:23) May be monster lab will be gone in 0.83 and then monsters will be replaced by PvP in 0.84. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) Wow, and grindfest will really be a grind. Takes a week to complete a single battle. And loser loses 10% of equipment condition (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

That's the point. A lot less pressure on the Server. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Jul 21 2015, 17:22) From super-slow 1h to some kind of mage. I don't want to risk spending a lot only for my element to turn out worse than Fire is currently, for instance. 0.82 screwed over a couple of my big investments I had just made so I don't want to make that sort of mistake again. Maybe I should just stop playing until 0.83 or something... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) And then 0.83 came out and equipment price is inflated. You'd then wish you'd bought stuffs in 0.82 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Btw, had you invested in mid-range power slaughter in 0.81 instead, you'd be making quite a profit in 0.82 This post has been edited by holy_demon: Jul 21 2015, 16:07

QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Jul 21 2015, 00:57) Sooner 0.83 comes the better, for me at least. I'll be able to switch styles like I've been wanting to do for ages without fear of my choice being quickly "rebalanced" into oblivion
I have no idea why you think 0.83 will make that more feasible. QUOTE(tetron @ Jul 21 2015, 04:23) May be monster lab will be gone in 0.83 and then monsters will be replaced by PvP in 0.84. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) Other players will be the monsters! Your opponents are simulations based on their stats.

Enjoy timely afks just when you're about to win (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) i think pvp is possible, with time limit for every turn. A system is needed for level problem. Nvm, mace & club will always win. This post has been edited by Dead-ed: Jul 21 2015, 21:51

You'd then wish you'd bought stuffs in 0.82 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) A higher price in exchange for knowing that the gear/style isn't on the lower end of the spectrum is fine by me. QUOTE(kyouri @ Jul 21 2015, 14:46) If you follow that mentality you could be saving until endless patches (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) QUOTE(Panuru @ Jul 21 2015, 16:17) I have no idea why you think 0.83 will make that more feasible. 0.83 has been said to be the major rebalancing patch. After it comes out, and after the initial testing period / minor tweaks has ended, players will probably be able to safely assume that major rebalancing changes will likely not happen for a while - unlike where we are now, where players can expect major changes to likely happen in the next few months. If 0.83 had not been announced to be focused on that - major rebalancing - you'd be right. QUOTE(generaldoom @ Jul 21 2015, 19:25) when next patch nerf monster lab, want add auto feed monster option. many monsters need too many click for feed. Use Monster Lab Babysitter and you can do that with just one key. Also, there are better threads for daily posting for Dawn bonus. Not this one (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Well considering that 2h has no where to go, but up I might switch from DW. Though, if reallocating STR and INT becomes more timely (which I don't imagine it will) I might go for wind/lightning mage.

Yes yes, when 0.83 comes Tenboro will descend to earth to establish the New System. I'll hold my judgment until it actually happens.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Jul 20 2015, 20:23) That script runs automatically once every day. Though the next patch will tighten it up somewhat.
...so... next patch all level 500 and under will be deleted... or anything like that? QUOTE(holy_demon @ Jul 19 2015, 23:47) When those inactive monsters are gone, creating high-PL will become more efficient. Inactive monsters are actually trashes because they're not chaos-ed, so deactivating them will make the game harder in the long run.
"the truth lies somewhere in the middle" - instead of completely removing them, better transfer all inactive monsters into "low league" where they can appear in battles only on low difficulty, and all active monsters will be participated into high difficulties. Everyone satisfied: game will save all inactive monsters, players got even easier/faster low difficulty battles, active monsters has more chances to win/appear in battle. Everyone's happy, world clear and balanced.

Everyone's happy, world clear and balanced. Those of us who play only (or nearly only) on PF, of which there are many, will find battles a whole lot more difficult. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Lower difficulty mages/noobs would like it.

Think you've finally got your opponent beat into a corner, with all cures and restoratives on cooldown? Then you'll see a string of infusions and scrolls being used until his restoratives are no longer on cooldown. The winner is the first player to flee from this pointless exercise (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Just use the "feed max" button.

Judgement was not made about whether that difficulty should be that difficult or not. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) The zero-sum complaint doesn't really mean anything, zero-sum tradeoffs are the bread and butter of game mechanics. Nothing strange/wrong/evil there. The game is easy as it is, by the way. It's just getting more and more tedious as you're forced to do micromanagement here and there: feed your critters, make them happy, feed your armor... next step will be make your gear happy: "oh no, I forgot to polish my set! My bonuses are halved!" I'd prefer a more challenging game with less "you have to buy new laces for your shoes" interruptions. And if someone wants those kind of "realistic" nags, at least there should be a semi-automated procedure to take care of them: Feed all your monsters, pet all your monsters, repair your whole equip set... The babysitter script still works, 'till now the first part is covered. The conditioner script doesn't work anymore since the equip changes crippled it and so far no one took the task to update the script.
