QUOTE(Colman @ Jun 11 2015, 11:51) From your level I can tell I play more than you even when I am inactive. I think I can level 5-10 time a day with the current exp rate.
Superlatanium: I have got equipment of ever single set. The active sets like my 1H, 2H, DW, holy/ice/elec Staff, power, shade of fleet, prof cloth and phase of holy/dark/cold/elec are mostly high mag or Leg so they are hard to be replaced. However, the rest are just old exq with full PABs. They should not be hard to replaced statwisely. However, I cannot even find a single upgrade in my past ~30k rounds @PF, including 10+ DwD.

Although I can rush to lv450 and buy stuff from the top group. With the current trend, I expect the next and the next next patch will make the drop in this patch or earlier useless.

I dont deserve it! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) Also... these are my restoratives so far: Health Draught-1518 Health Potion-147 Health Elixir-59 Mana Draught-1674 Mana Potion-358 Mana Elixir-41 Spirit Draught-536 Spirit Potion- 64 Spirit Elixir-14 ... Why dont we put and alchemy lab near the monster lab so we can fuse draughts to make potions and potions into elixirs? This post has been edited by piyin: Jun 11 2015, 18:10

I've actually quite liked this patch. After reading a bunch of comments about why people hated it, I still feel that it's made the game easier for me.
Holy mage hasn't actually been nerfed through the ground. I'm a low-level holy mage; I'm doing fine. The damage is still unparalleled by other elements, and I haven't had too many mana issues (40-turn cooldown on potions is plenty short enough, although I'm using a staff with Economizer). Cure has been heavily nerfed for users of Katalox staffs (Holy spell damage and no supportive prof) but not at all for Oak staffs (Holy spell damage and really high supportive prof). Since I switched to holy, the game's gotten significantly easier than with my elec set, even under the new patch's rules.
I've actually seen quite a lot of good equipment being dropped. I've gotten quite a few Magnificents since the patch (I play on Normal, so even Exquisites used to be a rarity). It was nothing I would use or even sell, but it's nice to get the free high-grade materials for a few thousand credits. New phase is way better than old phase, hands down, especially at the higher levels. The crushing mitigation is nice (10% less damage from a common damage type isn't half bad), and EDB and PABs are now at the old Pmax for quite a few equipments. Further, the new equip generation rules mean that every good equip is strong on all fronts. Legendary phase can no longer be crippled by a low EDB or SMax Intelligence; every single stat is guaranteed to be good. From what I can see in shops and auctions, there have been way more really good equips generated since 0.82 than before per unit time. Even the equipment people in this thread are complaining about are just as good as before; they just apparently "buffed enough."
I'm still not sure what to think about the equipment level concept. The problem seemed to be that rich players would farm a bunch of good equipment, then sell it to lower-level players and get even richer (also facilitated by the LotD perk, now nerfed presumably for this reason). Low-level players are much more likely to use the drops they get. Since drop quality overall has increased, the poor players *should* be helped and the rich players *should* be hurt, which I think is a good thing for the game and its economy as a whole. In fact, the WTS thread seems to be doing completely fine; at the upper echelons where much of the trading is going on, any given pair of players will probably be within 50 levels of each other anyway since leveling up is so darn slow. One issue: although the very top players (like danixxx) have been slightly hurt as intended due to a lack of equipment buyers, the other group that's actually damaged by the equipment levels is the low-level players. While high- and mid-level players level up slowly enough that they can easily soulfuse their equipment without it degrading too much, newbies can't claim the same. Their armor and weapons devolve into uselessness far faster than they can claim soul fragments to recoup, and it's not like they can buy cheap upgrades from higher-level players or the FreeShop anymore, and even the Bazaar is now off-limits. And while drop quality has improved, it hasn't been good enough that you can just make a decent set out of equipment you've found in the last 20 levels. Worse still, the superior and exquisite equipment that they'll be forced to use has been severely crippled by missing PABs by the last update. A best-case scenario for a level 100 player would still be something like a set of level-80 exquisite, two-PAB cotton and a staff whose prefix, type, and suffix may or may not match, or whatever the equivalent is for melee. Until they reach a level where they can actually buy and equip rare-tier armor from the WTS thread, new players are, in practice, completely screwed. Maybe for now they can just pick up a weak level-unassigned set from some high-level player, but when everything in the WTS thread is level 400, it'll be a lot more foreboding for anyone below that level.
On a side note, thanks for the XP modifications. It's good to see that leveling up at higher levels is slightly less insanely hard than before.
Short version: I actually like this update, holy maging is still quite good, at least from my experiences, the economy is decidedly not dead, and I'm glad I'm above level 300 and bought all my phase gear before it became level-assigned, because this game sucks for newbies now.

I want the reverse of this with forge. Let me break up my thousands of worthless HG Metals in to MG! MG sells like hotcakes! Crafting potions would be pointless. Train up Scavenger if you're having problems with pots.

Yeah... it is beatifull to see the thing from above... right? I get what you said there... but here it goes the MAIN stuff related to the hate... and i also think you also are hidding the fact that you hate this update in that last part: QUOTE and I'm glad I'm above level 300 Sure, the game now is not suited for anything below that level... in terms where you think if you go higher you will be more powerfull or able to enjoy the game more... i think. QUOTE and bought all my phase gear before it became level-assigned, Yeah... and if you had not done that? its just a supposition... but pretty sire you will be in the same position of newbies or even higher levels that wanted to make some sets before this happened... you will be pissed... deny it if you want. QUOTE because this game sucks for newbies now. This is true... but... is the most mysterious thing of all: Why will 10B (if he did the main update... i think) make it hard for newbies? ... Doesnt will make ppl not wanted to play? What about those that wanted to keep playing so they could enjoy the game more... and maybe, just maybe... BUY A GOLDEN STAR?!... OR MORE!... Well if that is a... how to call it... MARKETING STRATEGY... I THINK IS ONE OF THE WORSE... Extra money never hurt anyone... so even if i dont know how does the economy of E-H.org works... or their finances keep it going... i bet the update just scared potential gold start buyers... Good work? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Already done with that one... Only Archaeologist level 10 reaming on my training list to be done... so... useless suggestion... but thanks anyway... oh and just a question: QUOTE Exquisite ~282-303 This simbol means that i can also find stuff with pxp or not? coz: [0] Exquisite Plate Gauntlets of Warding (282) (just to be sure myself)

You have lots of options. 1.) Economizer 2.) Ether Tap 3.) Ether Theft 4.) Frugal Prefix 5.) Focus (the only thing needed for melee to grind indefinitely) 6.) Use Channeling to cast Absorb and best of all: 7.) CHANGE YOUR PLAYSTYLE TO ACCOMMODATE LESS EFFECTIVE RESTORATION. e.g. use draughts immediately to slow MP depletion (get more Capacitor) This post has been edited by hitokiri84: Jun 11 2015, 21:13

ffs... a melee player complaining about MP when they have access to infinite MP from focus... (IMG:[ i422.photobucket.com] http://i422.photobucket.com/albums/pp308/hitokiri84/nocomment-2.gif) And dani said he gets 28 MP Restoration. WIS, Level, and Better Mana Pots are the only things that increase this. Edit: Oh right, 8.) Aether Shard 9.) 5 levels of IA This post has been edited by hitokiri84: Jun 11 2015, 21:35

I read this part over and over: QUOTE EQUIPMENT GENERATED PRIOR TO THIS PATCH DOES NOT CURRENTLY HAVE A LEVEL. THE FIRST TIME THIS GEAR IS EQUIPPED, IT WILL BE ASSIGNED THE SAME LEVEL (AND CORRESPONDING STAT SCALING) AS THE CHARACTER THAT EQUIPPED IT.
- Equipment now has a fixed gear level that matches the level of the player it dropped for. The gear level determines both the stat scaling of the gear, as well as whether or not a character can equip it.
- You cannot equip gear that is above your current level. You can equip gear that is below your level, but the gear will not scale up to your level.
- By consuming a number of Soul Fragments, you can bind a gear to your player character and make it level up as you do - that is, the old behavior. This will however make the item untradeable. You do this at the forge. -- Soul Fragments are dropped frequently from random encounters, capped to up to six per day. They are not tradeable and have no sell value. They have also replaced Precursor Artifacts as a prize in the lottery, and if all else fails, they can be purchased (at significant cost) in the item store. -- The number of Soul Fragments required is 100 50 plus 1 for every two levels difference between your level and the gear level. (Legacy gear that hasn't been assigned a level will count as being your level, and always has the base cost.) -- You cannot soulfuse items that are more than 50 levels above your current level.
(No, you won't be able to soulfuse all your equipment. This is by design. The idea is that you should be able to grab one "keeper" every week or so just from playing. Past that, it will require a significant investment at the item shop, or (bad?) luck at the equipment lottery.)
- Lottery prize equipment as well as all untradeable peerless equipment granted by the Follower of Snowflake perk will also be soulfused automatically. But.. still... cant find a reason why I CANT SOULFUSE THIS ONE... [0] Legendary Ethereal Estoc of SlaughterMain reason: it doesnt appear on the soulfuse list of items...so any idea? EDIT: QUOTE(hitokiri84 @ Jun 11 2015, 21:29) ffs...
