QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Jun 10 2015, 06:58) A player could probably keep using their shield bound to lower level for quite some time, and only soulfuse (if at all) after they gain 100 levels, or once they have a lot of spare fragments.
Sounds like pretty much what I haved planned but why soulfuse a shield when you can swap with the same one thats "Level Unassigned" (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Current Shieldand Shield to be worn 100 lvl later unless I find a better one during that time: QUOTE(rfEH @ Jun 10 2015, 06:51)

QUOTE(Aerith12 @ Jun 10 2015, 14:25) One piece of heavy armor, 2 cloth one 1 light. though I plan to switch to just cloth and the heavy armor once I find a better piece of cloth.
Oh man (face palm), you have a lot to learn The threshold for equipment are different. Heavy armors are the cheapest > light armor (the awesome ones are expensive like hell) >= light armor (useful ones are generally expensive + you need a good staff) My suggestion, try to stick with full set of heavy armor (for survival) and two-hand slaughter weapon (for DPS). If you really have 7m credit to splash, you can start with light armor, because in you level, using mage style will be a rough ride

My suggestion, try to stick with full set of heavy armor (for survival) and two-hand slaughter weapon (for DPS). It really depends on type. Power Slaughter is probably the most preferred armor type that nearly everyone wants. Before the patch, even <Smax ADB could go for a million or more. Leather and Plate, like always, are a dime a dozen. Shade needs to have a good suffix and hopefully a good prefix to sell for any notable amount. Staff does not combine with light armor - mages should use staff + cloth armor (Phase and proficiency cotton). 2h is not a very good choice. It's OK for those at super low level, but past level 130-something where players start encountering monsters of much higher PL, they'll be much better off with 1h or at least DW to deal with the massively increased incoming damage, else they'll be making things much tougher on themselves than it has to be. Even level 400+ players, with all their innate defense + forging perks etc, don't find giving up the defense worth it. QUOTE(Nyvil @ Jun 10 2015, 07:27) I think people can find a better shield before 100 lvl, I got this in 15 lvl shieldUnless one's name is danixxx, one cannot count on being lucky enough to replace their equipment like that (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) --- I suggest this might be better continued in the Experts thread rather than the patch thread... if player in question is actually mixing different armor types... At your level maybe I just realised today how much Mobs PL seems to affect quality of drops I got my first Legendary (my once in the month keeper I guess) today (And I noticed I seem to be getting more and more exquisite and mag drops as I level up). Before level 200 it was like 1 exquisite per fortnight, never a mag playing full arena and RE (excluding shrines) everyday and now post level 200 its like 1to 2 exq a day and an occasional mag randomly (STILL VERY RARE but at least they show up now) where I pretty much only play RE now and that arena that give sapling. Although I must say on average exq and mag post patch < exq prepatch (yeah 2 PAB MAX on new exq really sucks and a lot of mags are also stuck on 2 PABs not to mention slaughter ADB seems slightly lower on average) Then again I still don't have enough to compare. QUOTE(tetron @ Jun 10 2015, 17:21) I don't see why anyone would even want to reach that state. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) There are people that are thinking that the lack of level scaling means that its best to stop leveling up until you can Soulfuse all your main gear, with the main reason for doing so is because they believe you get weaker as you level up due to mobs getting stronger but your gear remaining the same. Of course I have issues understanding the point of this because this is how HV was years back, and it didn't stop me from leveling... This post has been edited by Cashino: Jun 10 2015, 18:54

Meanwhile, for the people who want to level... Hikikomoriism I (100 hath) - To get full HV XP & Dawn XP benefits, you only need 10 posts in a 3 month sliding window. Hikikomoriism II (250 hath) - 10 posts in 6 months. Hikikomoriism III (500 hath) - 10 posts in a year. Hikikomoriism IV (1000 hath) - ONE post a year.

They will be full retard if they keep their Stamina below 10 to stop leveling up. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) QUOTE(mechafujoshi @ Jun 10 2015, 22:38) Hikikomoriism IV (1000 hath) - ONE post a year.

QUOTE(milannews @ Jun 9 2015, 05:25) @Tenboro It seems new phase's EDB can surpass old Pmax… except for gloves. Peerless Frugal Phase Gloves of MjolnirIs it intended or bug? QUOTE(chjj30 @ Jun 10 2015, 00:07) And how is the new one worse? The old one has Elec EDB upgraded to level 38, but both of those rolled 180 as the internal base Elec EDB bonus. QUOTE(kamio11 @ Jun 10 2015, 03:11) If this is the case, there seems to be a bug, as I've gotten [ i.imgur.com] three and [ i.imgur.com] five gifts since maxing double gift. The former is from 31 May and the latter today. It may have happened other times too, but these are the only ones I remembered to take screenshots of. That's because the number of gifts is calculated as float, which isn't rounded until after the double gift modifier is applied.

So you're saying that the EDB ranges of the old Peerless Phase are still the same like before?

For glove elemental EDB, exactly the same it would seem. Old gear was prone to stat rounding, but the stats that are considered the most important should always be the same or better, as should the equipment piece as a whole. (Keep in mind though that the new equipment generator has 1400+ tweakable variables, almost all of which were added or changed in 0.82.)

Stat rounding? You mean the 0.03 difference due to roundup? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) In that case, I have two gear links for comparison: Pre patch gear: Peerless Ethereal Oak Staff of Focus (Unforged Base WIS: 7.21) New patch gear: Peerless Ethereal Oak Staff of Focus (Unforged Base WIS: 7.08) Looks like there's a 0.11 difference in the unforged base WIS. Even with roundup error, the difference shouldn't be higher than 0.06, right? Or am I missing something here?
