I would be nice to have a Item like Soul Fragment, which would remove LVL of items, it could save so many lifes in harsh world of HV, and would help to bring more life in auctions, coz you could reset level of item when needed
Even if Tenboro added such an item it would be prohibitively costly (more so than frags) in credits and/or time, since otherwise it would effectively just undo the entire gear having levels idea.

However, at this point I'd be lucky to find some Exquisite gear that I could use in the bazaar/forum. In my opinion, that's one of the major selling points of this update. Us lower level players can no longer take a shortcut to more power by purchasing high end gear. Instead we have to go though a natural gear progression, which makes the game more challenging.
They still have quality tiers. And pre-patch LotD gave you higher-quality eqips. Maybe you would also explain to us why instead of applying it as a third factor during the quality generation, it was changed into something completely different ("More equips of certain types" instead of "Higher quality of equips of all types")?

Yes, what I mean, It would be like soulfusing item or something like that, even at low level, It's hard to get nice item, also, even if you grab lvl 400 Legendary, then undo lvl, and equip it, you will still get your lvl item, and after some 40-50 lvl, you will need to soulfuse it, or do the same operation, with removing lvl, and equiping it again... At this point, I think price like 200-300k is ok, comparing with soulfusing (after which, item becomes untradable...)

nah, it depends on what was the Idea, for me, lvl 240, I would like to have such option, to redo lvl for equipment once every ~50 lvl, coz gear becomes really bad with parameters/scaling, and soulfusing make it REALLY EXPENSIVE and later you won't be able so sell your old gear to others (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

I think a couple of us have suggested something to that effect.
Though the main thing I'd have to say is that if Tenboro implements such a thing, it shouldn't remove soulbind. Since soul fragments would soulbind.
I never refer to quality levels as "tiers" to avoid confusion.

Dark age? it would means we had moved from the jurasic age: ya know, big Ds being the rulers of the land (Lvl >400 + Rich) and little lizards being squashed (anyone except big Ds).

Great idea = that would make lower levels able to enjoy the game... but:

Damn I wish mage could keep up with just natural MP regen and gems just like in the golden age of HV.
The real golden age was long before these: Damage Growth, Monster Avoidance, Monster Lab, Cooldowns, AoE Limitations, Weapon Condition, Energy, etc.
Of course, there were bad things too back then, like having to play 200 rounds on IW to level up a equipment 1 level. Quite the pain in the ass when say, you have a staff that's level 23 and you're well over 350.

I'm not familiar with the code for the system. But, would it be easier to just leave the levels on all the gear and give some type of status effect to all players below lvl 200. This effect would bypass the level requirements for sup gear and lower?

- One and two-handed weapons and staffs no longer have a common and rare tier, to prevent generating mostly katanas/wakizashi at higher tier bonuses.
I'm pretty sure this comes in hand with Niten not being a vast improvement over the other melee styles and Holy and Dark being vastly inferior to elemental in the current state of things. However, all the rare armor types are generally better than the common types and therefore more desired, which is probably why armor still has tiers.
