You might be on to something here...

Only thing I'm still paranoid about is the abysmal amount of Mana Potion drop, especially when I know that its drop rate will not be increasing.
Other than that, I'm quite satisfied with this patch. It now allows me to save Credits by not bidding on any Auction. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Level doesn't affect drop quality, only difficulty and battle type.

So where do the Arena clear bonuses sit on the new "Tier scale," at least for PFUDOR difficulty? It seems like everything below Triple Trio is essentially frozen at the bottom end of Tier 3 or Tier 4, without much chance of going higher; Triple Trio is fixed at either Tier 4 or 5 (Saplings also seem like Tier 4 or 5 trophies) , the schoolgirl grinds are slightly higher, and PFUDOR DwD is Tier 6.

Random encounters are all over the map, but seem to be the only semi-reliabe way of getting Magnificent or better gear outside of DwD.

A related question, is there still any sort of quality/tier/rarity bonus for drops at higher number rounds like 600 or 900 in a grindfest?

Recovering

While out of combat HP, MP, and SP regenerate over time at various rates based on the player's primary attributes. While out of battle the restoratives.png option, located beneath the SP bar, is also available. It allows players to consume a few potions to fully restore any of these points. These restorations are affected by abilities.

Uh, no. There was a bug where Crude would never drop, but the way the bug worked was that everything that was supposed to be Crude dropped as Fair. And Crude only drops on Normal anyway.

It has been a week since the update and overall I like the changes. After shouting some profanity at my poor computer, I adjusted my play to match the way the new restoratives work. I was never tempted to save up enough credits to buy almighty gear from someone in the forum, so the fact that I can't use gear that is way above my level is not an issue. Soul Fragments are basically a free way to upgrade my existing gear after several weeks of playing lots of RE. However, for those who don't want to wait, the forge upgrade feature can still be used. Fewer trips to the forge repair screen is great. So Tenboro, I just want to thank you and any of your helpers for all of the hard work you've done on this new version.

Now that Leveling Up has become much faster, I expect to see a bunch of people reaching Lv.500 by the end of this year.

I suppose grinding for soul fragments for a month (~180 sf at most) and saving credits for mag>= equipment is another workaround (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
