right now i am using windows 7 on my laptop surfing the forums here and xubuntu linux on my desktop trying to install the wireless adapter.
no real problems with windows other than it might not be letting me use H@H but it still is a pain in the ass. mainly the cost of all the software.
so
i decided to download the windows ubuntu installer onto my computer that was running windows xp. it installed okay but after it finished installing it didnt have the drivers necessary to use the cisco linksys ae1000 wireless adapter. so i tried popping the driver cd into it and found out the disk was to install on windows and mackintosh OS's only. so i tried looking up how to install it and i found several. really really, obscure. tech heavy, instructions on how to build it and everything. i have been up for 2 days trying to figure this out. anyone familiar with ubuntu who could help me install this. i will do whatever they ask. if i can get this thing up and running and get H@H running on it i will give the first hundred hath it generates to the person who gives me these basic instructions. please dont skip any keystroke. dont even skip telling me that you are pressing shift and enter. i have no experience with ubuntu. and extremely little experience with scripts. i am a retarded monkey when it comes to programing.
