I use Windows 10 on my home desktop, Windows 2012 Server on my dedicated server, Ubuntu Server, CentOS, and Debian on some VPSes. Last but not least I use Mac OSX (El Capitan) at work.

Fairly good grasp on all of them.

7 till they get privacy and other shit sorted out on 10. I find it annoying that they are trying to "force" gamers to upgrade to 10 because of DX12.

Used windows 7 for a while. Then upgraded to windows 10, It was my biggest mistake in my whole life. Drivers memory leaks, random BSODs, all opengl apps not working and other shit.

Installed ubuntu 14.04, runs perfectly.

I have one computer with Slackware and the rest of my computers have Debian Jessie installed and they all work beautifully.
But I would recommend people to install Debian instead of Slackware, because Slackware requires a lot of knowledge about Linux world to install and maintain it. Installing Debian has been made quite easy and it should be rather easy to install new programs, update system and generally use it with Gnome or KDE desktop environment, while still being very stable.
