Oh man I hope they did not freeze his account, I've had that happen to me once.

Do you have one of those little kitchen weight scales?

Damn. Last time I was slammed with shipping costs that high was with two large Yahoo Japan auction orders through easyauctionjapan (around $280). It was for two large JP Playstation accessory shipments through SAL (around 10lbs each maybe?), but your situation sounds like absolute robbery. Did they add a commission fee to the shipping prices directly or what? QUOTE(Kalevala @ Sep 15 2016, 01:23) Shipping costs can creep up on you pretty bad yeah. Pretty much what Shanko suggested will work (no, you don't need to pay USPS or Officemax almost $90 for a mailing scale when a food scale will work just as well). Unless you happen to be shipping very heavy or large/bulky items, anything with a range of up to 8lbs should suffice. This post has been edited by 8055: Sep 15 2016, 20:12

Look at that pic again. There was supposed to be 3 orders (pre-orders of MB and Toro, and then original order). It somehow went to 7+ something because, and like ALWAYS in Comiket, there were items that got delayed longer. Each of those items was shipped seperately, which also piled on the commission fee as well.
I paid 30,000 yen as estimate a month ago, and almost all of it went towards that one order that was 28.000+ yen and the pre-orders, which I thought would be the entire order. But the ones delayed didn't count from my 30,000y (meaning the deputy service must've paid w/ their own money) and that was added on to what I have to pay, so what I thought would be 13,100y+fees for my invoice, wound up that plus the price for the books that came late PLUS the commission fee for EACH additional order.
So, yeah, $485....there goes 2/3rds of my SSI for next month. I wouldn't count of my job paycheck either since that's in a range of $100-$150 /2 weeks.
Let this be a lesson to people who want to order items during the early or even mid parts of Comiket. It's best to wait a month before ordering.

Ah so this is what happened, that sucks. I also had my large Toranoana order split into four despite asking my people to instruct Toranoana to wait on all the items.

Yea, my little $15 scale has a weight limit of like 20lb, but you could just stack and add in sections.

International shipping is exactly why I don't deal with scanning Japanese doujins that much, too much hassle (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) Salute to all of you heroes

So, remember the update regarding current C90 comissions and all but 5 books arriving? Well, I tried contacting the middleman to cancel the five books because 1.) they're still sold out and 2.) although they are supposed to be re-stocked there's STILL no date to be determined when they'll be in stock, and unfortunately, I can't cancel those five! Now I'm afraid it may be till October when I get these commissions.

The ones holding stuff up are all from Red. So, blame him for me and everybody else waiting on this mess.

News (mostly to my commissioners Red, HNTI, Dynellen, Grahf): They'll ship yours over the weekend.
As for my shit, well...still haven't paid it, more like don't have enough to pay for it. Now I wish there was something like a money generator (that actually works and no viruses)...
