Well, I don't like that idea so much, but if so, I would have to sacrifice someone who is lucky (preferably someone who is extremely lucky). (IMG:[

That depends on the specifics of the religion/god/credence you wish to follow.
Some sacrifice simply conquered enemies, others were more picky and considered worthwhile victims only brave (enemy) warriors. Still others sacrificed their owns, nobles or even kings (the king who couldn't won the favour of the gods, as demonstrated by calamities befalling on the people, was quickly dispatched and substituted with a better one, i.e. one more lucky (IMG:[

If you are familiar with the Bible, God asked Abraham to sacrifice his own beloved first son (thou' stopping him at the last moment, 'cause ... well, he was only joking, wanted to be sure that you were going to obey my silly crazy orders, no ill will, no one got hurt so it's ok, hmm ?) (IMG:[

Indeed, for the christians, God himself sacrificed his own son for us all (and he didn't stop this time, going to the very end. Not only that, but make him suffer cruelly for some time before killing him, why not (IMG:[

So you see, there are multiple options open to you. Quite interestingly, feminists have never cried "Misoginy!!" to this preference for male victims, pretending equality from Gods in choosing their sacrifices. (IMG:[

Women are natural enemies of men; we need a God of Snowflake, instead of a Goddess (IMG:[
