No, a magnificent hallowed katalox staff of destruction/heaven-sent/hemidall is better than this.

No, forget that crap. Not only is this staff mismatched, but the suffix isn't good either. Like qr said, better get your hands on a good Mag rather than that thing.

To add a bit to the already good answers above, shade of arcanist is very bad for mage - a mix of phase of the element you are using and proficiency cotton is what you want as a mage.
