I think high level sprites are actually more damaging as physical/void than magical/void, but most people don't realize that. There are some high level physical sprites. Also daimons are physical/void. Protection is crucial, too. I prefer to mix protection and warding evenly but I tend to acquire more warding pieces because no one likes it.

Unfortunately it's all I can get since I'm so pathetic. Well, I can probably afford to get one good equipment, if the right one comes along. I have to save all my energy for one giant blow. There was that overpriced 3.33m ethereal rapier earlier that I lost, my sensors indicate it got stuck on the moon.

Now I have a new trash can rapier that I waste my amnesia shards on. Someone save me, please. Anyone out there with a good rapier for sale? I can probably afford it since I have a small genkidama.

Not at all. One just mustn't rush equipment and buy at least good stuff for cheap.
A 15.5 adb warding is worth starting bid. A 14 is not.

Protection is crucial, too.

Trust me it's not. Not with 1h legendary gear. The PMi increase from the suffix is too small to matter when you block 55/60% of the hits and you parry a good half of the remaining physical hits.

Just look around. "Meh" rapiers with 48-ish adb...those are literally given for free if lv 400+
Just look around and wait. Don't buy the first thing you see and spend money on it.

Patience is key, yeah...I'll try to be patient. Actually that's one of the reasons I got the crappy rapier. It sucks and wasted money, but huggling it may help keep me satisfied until the best one for me appears. Unfortunately the bad rapier is wasting more money with the amnesia shards...

My strategy is to hope to luck out and get a decent IW on the bad rapier, then either keep or resell it (for a break-even price, not for profit) depending how it turns out.

About Protection, I only meant for low level, poor players. Of course Slaughter is better for anyone who can afford it.

Just pick whatever you get, even full warding. At your level the PMi is already high enough to not worry.
You'll think about slaughter when you will be lv 400 at least aka you can soulfuse anything aka you can bid on the "cheapest" slaughter (lv 475~500)

My previous set was 5 warding pieces out of 5, all with almost max adb, all got for 50k each or less, and I successfully completed a pfudorfest once so...you don't need more.

Once you have 5 legendary power you move on building the "proper" set.

Then first look for a good shield already. That is the most important thing. High block (38.4+) forged to 50.
Then a rapier with good rolls.
And then, only after that, you'll think about changing armors with slaughter.
Lv 400 is good for the last step but it could take you 20-30 levels more before getting all the other gear.

This unless you make hasty choices like some 300ish guys are doing aka collecting "good" gear too early paying it 2 or 3 times a better one but with a high level.
