what's your training level? how many monster do you kill everyday?

Quartermaster 7, I'm starting to wonder if higher Quartermaster increases the quality of equips you receive, not just the quantity? Just like how we recently learned that Archaeologist (probably) increase the ratio of figurines you receieve, not just the quantity of all artifacts.

I only make 10,000 credits a day on average in pfudor arenas, so convert that to monsters if you wish. Well, actually not true, because 80% of my battles are pfudor random encounters, which make almost no money but have the highest chance of dropping a legendary (I think, aside from high pfudor arena clear bonus, which is only one per arena). Still, you can convert this to how many levels increased between getting legendaries. My last legendary drop was level 289 and I'm level 308 now, 2 months and counting.

I think decondelite went about 10 levels between legendary drops in his 2 months, but he is at a higher level than me.

because rubbish can has some decent things, every now and then. worth a shot.

blame the market for considering certain valuable pieces not worth selling or auctioning so they end up in the trash

Not really.
A bad piece if backed up by very good gear objectively works.
I can do REs with bare hands or a toothpick because the rest of the equipments backs it up.
But that does not mean a bad weapon backed up by a good gear isn't still objectively worthless trash.

And since we were talking about a rapier with low-end M adb and lv above 400 and maces with 18 base adb less than max (for 4-5 crit that effectively add close to nothing to the damage), those can work yeah, but are still trash. And eat dust from any decent weapon.
