soulfusing means a surplus cost and you won't be able to re-sell the item later.

You probably unlocked less potencies than you are used to because the equipment has higher quality. When the rolls are better, the PXP required is slightly more. I haven't studied the wiki formula exactly, but a way to estimate the overall quality of equipment is to look at the PXP value and compare it with another of the same item. For example you can compare any legendary non-ethereal rapier to each other.

However the PXP measurement does not know or care that adb and parry are more important than the other rolls. That suggests your other rolls are also good. I checked and they are all pretty decent. I think the PXP measurement may also check rolls for burden, interference (ethereal may compute differently) as well as other stats that no one gathers data for, such as penetrated armor chance and repair condition.
