When you include large images in your posts, they are scaled down. External images (using img tag), get a max-with of 1500px, while attachments (using attachembed tag) get a max-with of 1600px. Why the difference?

2:
Is this rescaling new behaviour? I never noticed it before, but maybe i wasn't paying attention.

They both look the same size on my end

Edit: actually nope, they only look the same size in the preview

That's just a browser-side max-width to banish the evil horizontal scrollbar. Was added ages ago.
