Can hath rate be uncapped for people using single home clients? I feel like my hundreds of extra static ranges are going unrewarded.

quick question.

is gallery downloaded via .hathdl files is part of the hath cache files to serve to viewer ?

I want to delete files inside /downloaded folder. but afraid it would affect my client trust.

yup, but the images are duplicated in the cache and downloaded directories.

Nothing to worry, the images are already in the cache folder. The ones in the downloaded folder are sitting idly.

I always run my H@H clients on port 8080, did any of you experience any improvements when changing the port to 80?

There should be no improvements on any port over another unless some very weird shit is happening on your end.

There is no cap on static range hath outside of the global cap of 20.

I obviously mean the global cap since I said "extra" static ranges. I've added around 500 more ranges since capping at 20.

Since static ranges were added, the potential of H@H clients has increased by a lot, so it's something I'm considering.

The only thing we need is more users, that make a lot more bandwidth to not let all the H@H servers idle. I'd really wish to push 500mbit/s constantly, but there's just not enough people loading stuff.

Sorry for offtopic, but anyone, who knows how to use up a lot more ressources please PM me (anime/hentai episode mirrors or popular torrents.

You could also reverse that and say that we have too many clients running that are competing for users.

Hooray (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Also, I wanted to say that I upgraded from 1.2.1 to 1.2.5, and my client had some nice performance improvements. The max speed tests higher, and the average transfer rate increased by ~10%. However, it also deleted about 60GB of my cache, so I'm not sure what happened there. It seems OK though. I'm hoping that was the least accessed % of files or something. Overall great work!

Hey, quality for one of my new servers running H@H dropped heavily for the second time now. I am not sure why that happens, I have another server in the same datacenter and it has a high quality index.

Often I get "The connection was interrupted or closed by the remote host."

But this sounds like a client problem and not a server problem, would this affect my quality score and why?

Seems like activity/transfers on mine has just fallen off a cliff too.

Will it ever be possible to run H@H using hostnames instead of IPs? As long as the H@H server and normal browsers can make connections to the client over HTTP, I don't see any major downsides to using hostnames instead of IPs.
The reason I'd like hostnames is not because of dynamic IPs on home connections, but more so for hosting providers that need the hostname to route requests.
I'd love to experiment using Heroku and some cloud storage providers for free hosting of the client. Heroku gives you free 512mb of RAM and 2TB/month of bandwidth for free (per dyno, and you can have up 5 dynos on a free account), and there are many cloud storage providers also giving away tons of space.

Adding to rawrimatiger200's request I think IPv6 support would also be interesting.
