QUOTE(beto san @ Mar 14 2015, 08:37) So, this is it? No more updates? Is the game going to stay like this forever and ever? It's not "done", but because of the largely negative feedback for the coming equipment revamp, I've been prioritizing more important things for the last few months. Once I'm done with the current infrastructure upgrades, I'll probably get back to it.

So, can we assume the next patch will not come in the next few months?

It's worth to wait longer for a better patch. Development need time. (The WOW hotfix everyday, make the game a real testing realm... and worse each time...

I think feedback has been mixed both ways, positive and negative. Its quite a big patch, it sounded like the item generation system needed to be overhauled from scratch.

Just curious, who even knows about what the equip revamp actually is and gave you feedback?

Seeing as I can't dedicate any time for HV after this summer, it's best for Tenboro/everyone to ignore my previous negative feedback/whining.... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Look back in this thread. Tenb has told everyone. He had listened from a lot of players, so he made the decision. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I also veiw the equip revamp more negative than positive. To force player changing equipment is not fun, it simply makes the game more tedious and dampening.

I thought there is going to be some kind of rare drop that allows you to reset your gear to your level, without it being account-bound? If yes, that solves the problem of having to always find new gear.

QUOTE(Maximum Joe @ Jan 11 2015, 22:26) QUOTE <tenboro> basically I want to give people the option to have either level-bound or player-bound equipment.. but switching to the latter will require some kind of very rare item

So it is a dilemma. Need to find a new way. Maybe other than equip revamp.

if you are able to find the upgrades yourself then there isn't much of a problem you only lose a portion of the forge mats or if its a sufficiently good item you can bind it to yourself.
Currently you have to rely on the lotto and shops/auctions to find upgrades.

Maybe give everyone 5-10 of those "rare items" as soon as the patch hits? That would let people keep at least one set of their current gear, and not have to worry about upgrading their set immediately. Just an idea.

For those playing with multiple styles, it might be hard to keep up with having to reset all your gear to your level with these super rare items all the time. It's partially why I decided to quit melee; there's no way I can keep upgrading/resetting all my shade, power, niten, DW, 2H gears. On top of my holy/dark/wind sets I use.

Instead of free items, I prefer an easier way to find our own gears. It could be player-bound to prevent too many good item in the market.

The super rare item would make the gear Player-bound, not level-bound.

I was under the impression you would not need any item to make the gear Player/Account-bound; it's just an option that would be in the forge. This would lock your gear to your account, but allow it to scale everytime you level. The super rare item would allow you to reset/re-scale your equipment (as a one time event) without locking said gear to your account. I think most of the higher level player prefer this option, since they want to sell/trade their heavily forged/IW'd gear if they ever find an upgrade.
