Maybe it is better to limit amount of equipment that could be bought back per day, instead of pumping prices so big? I think in reality you rarely need this feature, so up limit to 5 items with regeneration of 1 buyback per week should be enough for direct purpose. Also, in that case there is no need to scale price according to item rarity.

It's not really feasible to make the system remove the items you got from salvaging or whatever. So if it doesn't, people will abuse it for free mats.

Call it an idiot tax. The system gives you every opportunity to prevent selling or salvaging important stuff, so if you still do it, it should cost a premium.
