But it has nothing to do with slang, it's just different ways of modulating a word that exist in the Japanese language.
That way of thinking is why there's so many doujin with girls suddenly
startin' ta blabber like 'dis.
People seem to think that accents and slang terms are the english equivalent to Japanese modulation, where in reality they have absolutely nothing to do with eachother.

I can't give an example because it's something typical of spoken Japanese, not text. But if you've ever heard (non-anime) Japanese people speak it's impossible not to notice.
The font idea isn't bad, but it would turn even the shittiest doujin into a pain, all for the sake of adding some imperceptible flair that no one but a Japanese person would even 'hear' the right way.
