gnu screen, it will allow you to have a detached session running after you close ssh. And gnu screen is available on virtually every linux distro, or even really crap UNIXeslike AIX.

I've run H@H on a Pi for years. It works, but it is not a dream H@H server. The Pi's network card can be a slower than your connection (that is, if you live in Europe or US).
