I've noticed since i only play RE.

So the equipment upgraded before the patch can't get the first 4 binding back, even though I have spent 50 binding in upgrading?

Yep, pretty much that.

On the bright side you do not lose the forge experience from those 5 first upgrades that actually required a binding (if I remember correctly what Tenboro posted some 20 pages back)
