The pruning's not a one-time thing, it's a six month timer. Ticking, ticking, as soon as you walk away. Ticking, ticking...

QUOTE(Owyn @ Jun 15 2014, 03:19) cuz the stronger the monster the better the drop, no? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) That's wrong, if I remember correctly. High PL = drop chance bonus. High PL = XP bonus. And that's it, no? No quality bonuses, no bonuses for chaosed mobs.

I wonder how much credits has been sucked in by the new repair system. And what the rate increase of credits is before and after the patch... could it even be 0 or even negative??

The repair cost now is very low, but it is troublesome. The credit gain rate seems a bit lower, mainly due to the bazaar price. However, I do not have sufficient data to support my point.

Hard to say exactly since catalysts are used both for repairs and upgrades, but people bought 17 million worth of scrap, and 140 million worth of catalysts. Of course, scrap was always intended to be mostly salvaged from other gear. The only reason the store even sells it is that otherwise, someone might go raiding the equip shop for crap gear to salvage. (Hell, they still could, but it would be much more expensive for them.)

I wonder how many of them have been used? If more than half, it is really an effective way to recycle credits.

If more than half, it is really an effective way to recycle credits. Hmm, pretty sure that it's mainly for upgrading really, what with holy_demon had already spent 2500 metals for upgrading already. Pretty sure that our Adminpony didn't quite bother to track the number of repairs and number of catalysts spent in the repair and upgrade store lol.

QUOTE(Mantra64 @ Jun 15 2014, 01:42) At my level I only fight strong monsters with high PL (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) yeap, but not all at once after this patch (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) only one monster of one trainer and you know who has all the strong ones...

It seems I do not really need to buy scrap for repairing. The scraps from salvaging are more than enough. FYI, I mostly play on PF, not sure about lower level players.

QUOTE(MSimm1 @ Jun 15 2014, 23:12) Now if they yielded Bindings, that would be awesome (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) No can do, pretty sure that getting bindings from monster gifts would be good enough, what with them being dropped from "fallen adventurers". Incidentally, that would also mean that a PvP battle would probably be a good source of bindings...

Damn you. I can barely do IWBTH hourlies >_> Repair costs for me personally aren't an issue- right now- because of how bad my stuff is. The catalysts I need are all the low-end ones, which says a lot about my loadout ಠ_ಥ

My stingy monster only hands out High/Mid Grade Metals or Leather (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Still waiting for at least one Binding of Destruction from him (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

You are correct about the PL drop and XP bonuses. Quality used to be based on monster stats, if it still is, then high PL would have a higher quality bonus indirectly. Chaos is unknown

i'm sure this has been asked, but: any chance that happy pills can be removed from artifact drops now that you can buy them in the store? or at the very least give more of them(10?)?

I'd rather that crystal drops were something I ever wanted to drop. At a price of 10 credits each in the store, I'd rather that monsters dropped anything else except for nothing or the potions I have basically no use for.

QUOTE(Colman @ Jun 14 2014, 19:01) Too many material in the market already (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) People mostly need bindings only. The low/mid/high grade material use to upgrade our equipment.

Over-complicating a game that's already complicating? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Makes sense to me and as one of the 'casual grinders' who doesn't have the bandwidth for H@H or the cash to donate it looks like my retirement went from unofficial to official though I'll still lurk around. From a business standpoint it makes perfect sense and Tenboro did an excellent job, HV is a fun enough game for the truly hardcore to want to donate and since the more easily accessible donating options aren't easily done for a porn site (using BitCoin instead of PayPal), I'd say Tenboro made the right move. And checkmated me right now, haha!
